Historia
Several years ago, an ARkStorm, a once-in-a-thousand-years flood event caused by a series of intense atmospheric rivers, flooded the Central Valley of California from Sacramento to what was once Los Angeles. The weight of the water was equivalent to the volume generated by the Mississippi River times 22. It challenged an already fragile seismic system consisting of hundreds of active faults.

I love Bobby Akart books, BUT
Revisado: 08-24-23
The storyline seemed a bit thrown together and cheesy....which overall was fairly easy to overlook if the narrator had been good, but that narrator was awful. To me, he sounded like he was speed reading. I've grown accustomed to Kevin Pierce, and this guy didn't even come close.

Historia
In the not too distant past, along the Mississippi River, North America tried to tear itself in half. It failed. It won’t the second time. The New Madrid fault zone, six times larger than the San Andreas in California, has generated a series of massive earthquakes thrusting the Atwood and Chandler families in a fight to survive. Will they arrive for Christmas? Will they arrive at all? Their lives are about to change forever. Prepare to be shaken.

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Historia
The year was 1917. As a war raged across the world, young American women flocked to work, painting watches, clocks, and military dials with a special luminous substance made from radium. It was a fun job, lucrative and glamorous - the girls themselves shone brightly in the dark, covered head to toe in the dust from the paint. They were the radium girls. As the years passed, the women began to suffer from mysterious and crippling illnesses.

Best book I ever read
Revisado: 05-24-19
I couldn't put this book down! The narrator is fantastic and the way the author manages to bring these historical women to life is phenomenal. It reads like a horror story and it is mind boggling what these women went through. My daughter wants to read it now. By reading this book, these women will continue to live and fight on for many decades past their deaths.

Fantastic book
Revisado: 04-04-18
This entire series will have you completely hookedwithin 3 chapters. Bronson Pinchot (although he narrated book 2 +3) does a fabulous job. I have not shed tears for a book since I was 16 years old, now Im 46 and found myself half sobbing because the characters were brought to life to the point where it just felt so real. Highly recommend this series.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.
