Historia
When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small Online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ten years later, and against all odds, this upstart autonomous decentralized software offers an unstoppable and globally-accessible hard money alternative to modern central banks. The Bitcoin Standard analyzes the historical context to the rise of Bitcoin, the economic properties that have allowed it to grow quickly, and its likely economic, political, and social implications.

Builds parabolic
Revisado: 01-31-19
This books starts off a bit dry talking about economics and history. However this history and understanding of money vs currency is crucial for setting up the later chapters.
More economic theory than technical subject.
This book clearly explains what a bitcoin standard is and why it is needed!
Con:
Wish it explained more on how it could materialize
Wish it demonstrated more as to why a bitcoin standard is far better than a gold standard (physical/trust)

Historia
Bitcoin became a buzzword overnight. A cyber enigma with an enthusiastic following, it pops up in headlines and fuels endless media debate. You can apparently use it to buy anything from coffee to cars, yet few people seem truly to understand what it is. This raises the question: Why should anyone care about bitcoin? In The Age of Cryptocurrency, Wall Street journalists Paul Vigna and Michael J. Casey deliver the definitive answer to this question.

The crypto book
Revisado: 09-13-18
This book was great. Not a short/cliffnotes on bitcoin. The book provides a full spectrum; from hashing to geo economical perspectives. Good book for new comers, very thorough without being boring or overly technical. Great book for the experienced hodlers as well, with history on how things came about. The concept, benefits, and struggles of bitcoin mentioned are still relevant today (if not more so). If you think you know bitcoin, you need to give this a listen.

Bitcoin is disrupting antiquated industries to bring financial independence to billions worldwide. In this book, Andreas explains why bitcoin is a financial and technological evolution with potential far exceeding the label "digital currency."

Whoa, technology changes?
Revisado: 07-31-18
Great book showing the history of disruptive technologies and the future to be. We forget how things were before technology changed them, this is a good reminder of how future changes will emerge

Do you have a wallet?
Revisado: 04-03-18
If you what cryptocurrencies wallets are, then skip this book. If you only heard of bitcoin today, check it out. Unfortunately I predict the target audience of this book to be that of my grandparents.... Not much in the way of trading specifically for cryptos as opposed to regular stocks. Hoping to hear more about hard forks, private keys, exchange arbitrage. Again if bitcoin is new to you as of today then I would recommend.

Historia
Why is it that so many efforts by liberals to lift the Black underclass not only fail, but often harm the intended beneficiaries? In Please Stop Helping Us, Jason L. Riley examines how well-intentioned welfare programs are in fact holding Black Americans back. Minimum-wage laws may lift earnings for people who are already employed, but they price a disproportionate number of Blacks out of the labor force. Affirmative action in higher education is intended to address past discrimination, but the result is fewer Black college graduates than would otherwise exist.
