Still love Theodora books but…

I enjoy the way Theodora Taylor writes but why do all the books have to have cliffhangers or part 2? I do buy all of her audiobooks but I wait for book 2 before I start listening 😜

Another winner!

This series takes me through such a range of emotions. I have learned each character so well that when any one of them is hurt or killed I feel the pain of the rest. When new characters are added I am not sure if they will betray those that are a part of the Fort. I love James character with his brothers, son and woman. I am loving his and the others ability to show mercy even while wanting to kill but don’t. Women in this series are so powerful. Thanks Joan. Jakobi Diem keep representing my brother.

I loved the 2nd Book too

I am telling you I am so surprise that I enjoyed a part 2,3, etc for a book series but I did. I usually listen to the 2nd book thinking I already know what is going to happen. However, Joan Vassar caught me off guard. Of course I have to go to the next book. Great work by the author and by the narrator Jakobi Diem who makes all the characters come alive.

It had everything!

I usually avoid anything to do with slavery because it is so painful. However I was influenced by others talking about the book and wanted to understand what they were referring to. Especially when the narrator talked about the bathtub’s meaning. Now I get it. Great job by the author and narrator. Thank you for this story Ms. Vassar. On to the next book in the series.❤️

Story 1 not my cup of tea

This first story made the heroine's self esteem appear so low that she never rose up out of it. It left me so sad because she accepted being the guy's play thing with the rest of the women he told her he was having sex with. He was so cocky and arrogant that I thought the author would have him fall in love with her. This had so much potential because another guy actually wanted her. She had friends that loved and supported her. I don't understand the author's reason for even writing this. I deleted this before giving the 2nd book a chance.

Really Unexpected

I tried this because I was looking for a comedy. I end up enjoying it more than I expected. I did want more conversation before it ended like that. I am hoping I will learn more about them if this becomes a series with her brother or girlfriend's story.

My My MY! I love this!

This book is the last book in a series but other then some cameo appearances by the other people in the series, it was new.
It was so unexpected that I listened to it in one day. I enjoyed everything especially the story & male narrator. Oh my. I think the authors could have started a new series with this one. Thank you MJ & Chelsea.

This was my first book by Alexandria House. When a book makes me so anxious that I want to go to the end to make sure I can handle it, I know I've found a treasure. Can't wait to read another one by Ms. House. New fan indeed.

I still loved it the second time

I really enjoyed this story despite the emotional rollercoaster. I think Whitney G. is a great author, especially when it is an entire book and not broke up in pieces. I waited and got the complete series all at once because I hate soap operas. That's my only complaint. Great story!
