Wow. There is so much special pleading in this book. It's like the very definition of special pleading.
Should have a disclaimer that it is a liberal tract, for the purpose of liberal proselytizing.

pop psychology applied to financial therapy, with Dickens' classic used as a wrapper. a non directive, Rogers, and or cold, Freudian approach is the wrong direction to go when dealing with other's financial health and well-being.

interesting analysis, but the sub-theme of economic disaster was under-developed. propose long term solutions, please.

surprisingly not funny from about halfway in to the end of the book. his stand up is definitely better. Jim, ask George Guidall to read the next book.

this book is entirely worth the stories of the soldiers who have experienced killing first hand. as a veteran myself I feel all the more indebted to my brothers in arms who have deployed, engaged the enemy, seen Brothers in Arms fall, and have had to take life themselves. whether you agree with Colonel Grossman on his analysis near the end of the book or not it is important to hear him out. he imparts an important warning for all of us about the direction of our society and how we might better foster a life ethic within our culture.
