Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Historia
Hannah’s up to her ears with Easter orders rushing in at The Cookie Jar, plus a festive meal to prepare for a dinner party at her mother’s penthouse. But everything comes crashing to a halt when Hannah receives a panicked call from her sister Andrea - Mayor Richard Bascomb has been murdered...and Andrea is the prime suspect. Even with his reputation for being a bully, Mayor Bascomb - or “Ricky Ticky”, as Hannah’s mother likes to call him - had been unusually testy in the days leading up to his death, leaving Hannah to wonder if he knew he was in danger.

Pretty Good But I was Annoyed
Revisado: 02-23-21
This book was good but not at all my favorite from Joann Fluke. I really like the Hannah Swenson stories but the Suspicious mind and logical mind banter was simply annoying to me!

Historia
By August 1968, the American space program was in danger of failing in its two most important objectives: to land a man on the moon by President Kennedy's end-of-decade deadline and to triumph over the Soviets in space. With its back against the wall, NASA made an almost unimaginable leap: It would scrap its usual methodical approach and risk everything on a sudden launch, sending the first men in history to the moon - in just four months.

Riviting, Educational

I loved this book. It was riviting and insightful into history! i couldnt stop listening. I was only 4 during that time in history and only remember bits and pieces. This was a great testiment to how great our country was and how I wish it were (and could actually be) again

This Book Is Horrid
Revisado: 09-09-20
I only made it to Chapter 7. I do not know where to start. The Character conversations were nauseating I sometimes felt as though I was listening to the teacher on the Peanuts specials. The Bully of a police officer was so Unbelievable in his initial questioning of the girls in his accusatory tone and apparent desire for some retribution or revenge and everything a police officer should not be. UGH! This is the first Denise Swanson book I have ever tried and most likely will be my last.

Historia
Fossil fuels are bad. Illegal immigration is necessary for the economy. Free markets are arbitrary and cruel. Christians are intolerant. Men and women are exactly the same. The dogma preached by the far left has gone mainstream and the results are frightening: Most of what you hear these days is flat-out wrong. Mark Davis pulls apart the tenets of liberal dogma in Upside Down, a right-side-up correction of everything that's wrong with today's topsy-turvy world.
