Historia
Quantum theory is weird. As Niels Bohr said, if you aren’t shocked by quantum theory, you don’t really understand it. For most people, quantum theory is synonymous with mysterious, impenetrable science. And in fact for many years it was equally baffling for scientists themselves. In this tour de force of science history, Manjit Kumar gives a dramatic and superbly written account of this fundamental scientific revolution.

This is an excellent read!
I love reading physics books and the view points of educated people this book ranks amoung the best.
I it is suited for beginner to mid level enthusiasts and offers so much more than the technical nuts and bolts of Quantum Theory.
I hope Mr Kumar writes another book, i will be first to read it!

Historia
Two years ago, a hostile Prime Minister launched the Monochrome inquiry, investigating "historical over-reaching" by the British Secret Service “to investigate historical over-reaching.” Monochrome’s mission was to ferret out any hint of misconduct by any MI5 officer—and allowed Griselda Fleet and Malcolm Kyle, the two civil servants seconded to the project, unfettered access to any and all confidential information in the Service archives in order to do so. But MI5’s formidable First Desk did not become Britain’s top spy by accident, and she has successfully thwarted the inquiry at every turn.

Historia
Pastor-teacher John MacArthur helps listeners understand Jesus' parables and how they relate to the whole of his message. Jesus was a master storyteller, and the parables he told were ingeniously simple word pictures with profound spiritual lessons. Understanding the parables is a crucial matter for followers of Jesus. Jesus told parables so his people might comprehend his message about the kingdom of God clearly.

Historia
They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbor, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given, and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

Historia
From the internationally bestselling author of No god but God comes a fascinating, provocative, and meticulously researched biography that challenges long-held assumptions about the man we know as Jesus of Nazareth. Sifting through centuries of mythmaking, Reza Aslan sheds new light on one of history's most influential and enigmatic characters by examining Jesus through the lens of the tumultuous era in which he lived: first-century Palestine, an age awash in apocalyptic fervor.

A Disappointment
Revisado: 04-14-23
I do not recommend this book for anyone who has not taken an in-depth New Testament Course such as The New Testament, by Bart D Ehrman.
Reza Asian starts with the premise that the Gospels are derived from the Q sources and from authors who use stories from early christian experiences to compile the New Testament, these sources can not be accepted on their face as historically accurate,
Asian continues by cheery picking New Testament Accounts (that he does not accept as accurate) to cast Jesus as a Man of His Day, shaped by jewish politics and nationalism, without any consideration for his growth into spiritual manhood.
A large portion of part II and all of part III are an assault on the credibility of christianity, Partially by criticizing the the characterization of Jesus as a non political, non violent, peace maker and partly by questioning the Apostolic succession after the death of Christ as just a fiction not supported by any historical references.
Reza Asian uses declarative phrases as support for his opinions regarding Christology. Words like, Obviously, for conclusions that are anything but obvious. Thoroughly UnOrthodox to activities that are held as Orthodox by modern jews.
Particularly questionable is the Putting of words in the mouths of James, Paul and Stephen to support a narrative that is unsupported in fact but which does support Reza’s assault on any legitimacy of the Christian Church in antiquity.
Asian’s ending exclamation point is to call Paul a degenerate, and throw in a weak sop for Jesus, saying that He is a compelling historical figure that doesn’t need elevation to divinity to be worthy of acclamation and admiration.
Any serious student of Biblical Scholarship will very quickly notice that this Novel is light on facts and scholarship and heavy on logical fallacies and unsupported narratives.
Too bad, the early premise of the book promised to offer food for thought regarding the arc of Jesus’ early life in the chaotic world of Roman Palestine

Historia
Every physicist agrees quantum mechanics is among humanity's finest scientific achievements. But ask what it means, and the result will be a brawl. For a century, most physicists have followed Niels Bohr's Copenhagen interpretation and dismissed questions about the reality underlying quantum physics as meaningless. A mishmash of solipsism and poor reasoning, Copenhagen endured, as Bohr's students vigorously protected his legacy, and the physics community favored practical experiments over philosophical arguments.

Pretty Good Until the last 45 minutes
Revisado: 07-16-22
This is my second read on Quantum Physics, my first was The Quantum Moment. This book was interesting until the last 40 minutes. I don't blame the author for regaling me with his personal bias and opinions on unrelated subjects, after all he wrote and interesting history of the subject for the first 11 hours. The first 11 hours were worth the listen the last 45 minutes are weak.

Historia
Belisarius is a quantum man, an engineered Homo quantus who fled the powerful insight of dangerously addictive quantum senses. He found a precarious balance as a con man, but when a client offers him untold wealth to move a squadron of warships across an enemy wormhole, he must embrace his birthright to even try. In fact, the job is so big that he'll need a crew built from all the new sub-branches of humanity. If he succeeds, he might trigger an interstellar war, but success might also point the way to the next step of Homo quantus evolution.

Historia
Brigham Young was a rough-hewn craftsman from New York whose impoverished and obscure life was electrified by the Mormon faith. He trudged around the United States and England to gain converts for Mormonism, spoke in spiritual tongues, married more than 50 women, and eventually transformed a barren desert into his vision of the Kingdom of God. While previous accounts of his life have been distorted by hagiography or polemical exposé, John Turner provides a fully realized portrait of a colossal figure in American religion, politics, and westward expansion.

Nothing new here. A weak and shallow attempt.
Revisado: 05-26-19
This a warmed up and extended Wikipedia essay. Mr. Turner never even gets close to providing insight into the life of Brigham Young and provides only the shallowest of narration of his life and times.
I was so disappointed with the book that I am asking for my credit back.
Very disappointing in content and narration.

Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.
