She had every reason to hide, do nothing, never intervene but that just wasn't who she was. This was throughly researched, blending her own words with the facts found while verifying her story. If ever faced with choosing myself or choosing others I hope I am able to do what she did.

Everything about this book makes it a must read. First and foremost the heroine herself, who found her story of no interest but used it share the story of many other women she served with. She went on to advocate for their recognition post WWII. And I promise you if advocacy and the lifting up of women's stories isn't of interest to you, the espionage and out and out battling will hold your interest.

Can't Put it Down

First time author and what a damn good job Ashley Flowers did. I hope she goes on to write more gripping crime novels, but if this is the only one she writes, it was perfect. Many times I thought I had it figured out, and each time I was wrong, but it didn't feel like it was cheating, it truly felt you were on the journey with Margot in discovering the truth. Ashley was able to seamlessly bounce between 1998, 2009 and 2019, it was distinct, the voice made it easy to follow, which for me isn't always the case. I can't end this review without saying not only did it peak my interest in the way I wanted to solve the mystery, but it repeatedly hit me emotionally as well.
