Why does the narrator change words?
Revisado: 11-03-20
I actually didn't notice this until I was a good way into the book but the narrator changes quite a few words. I can't say that he changes the meaning of any sentence but it is a bit irritating and makes me wonder what else he took liberties with.
I don't know if he can't pronounce the actual words written or if it is his opinion that he is a better writer than the author but his job is to read what was written, not restate.

Historia
Listen to this controversial, previously banned book that Howard Stern calls "required reading" for any man (or woman) even considering divorce! Newly revised and updated.
Unlike other divorce books, this one preaches no stay-together sermons and offers no sugarcoated, politically correct guidance. How to Dump Your Wife is about knowing that sometimes a marriage is simply beyond saving, regardless of whether a desperate or vengeful wife can accept the fact.

Very poor quality
Revisado: 01-27-07
While the content is somewhat interesting, the audiobook is of very poor quality. The recording is not very clear and they use some pretty lame band between sections.
Also, the recording repeats itself around 1:50 into it for about 5-10 minutes.
Lastly, it is very obvious that all someone did was record a three cd set they must sell elsewhere as included in the recording is "This is Disc 2..."

Historia
"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says ( Publishers Weekly).

Wish it could be longer
Revisado: 10-06-03
At 40 plus hours, this audio book has kept me going almost all summer. The narration is great. The mix of historical fact and fiction makes one wonder where one ends and the other starts. It's a shame the CIA hasn't been around for more years. Otherwise we could have a longer book. I enjoyed every minute of it.
