Historia
Power is changing. Private corner offices and management by decree are out, as is unquestioned trust in the government and media. These former pillars of traditional power have been replaced by networks of informed citizens who collectively wield more power over their personal lives, employers, and worlds than ever before. So how do you navigate this new landscape and come out on top? Adam Grant, Wharton organizational psychologist, went to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the epicenter of power, and sat down with thought leaders from around the world, to find out.

Compelling, credible interviewees & author
Revisado: 01-25-19
No story line per se, just a wonderful set of power-related workplace issues we all (especially one's bosses...) should consider acting on. The interviewees (some of the most successful in their fields) are alone worth the listen, but it's even more worthwhile since top-scholar Grant expertly interweaves the latest research with his own well-crafted commentary. Am recommending it to many, including my MBA students.

Historia
Present moment awareness is an essential ingredient in life if one expects to experience any degree of authentic peace and contentment. It has been acknowledged for centuries as the cornerstone of spiritual awakening in all traditions of Eastern thought. In the West, however, it is still a relatively unrecognized concept for living. The Western mind is always restless, never content with the moment.

***Make this book a habit
Revisado: 01-18-15
Well-crafted book with valuable messages and wisdom in every chapter, I'm already adopting a practicing mindset after just one month. While some will find Sterner's narration a bit wooden, I felt it almost meditative and certainly acceptable. Now on my third listening. Also helpful in this genre are McKeon's Essentialism and Duhigg's The Power of Habit.
