I thought I’d give you the trigger warning Audible should have included with this download, in case you’re like me and bought the book on a whim because you’ve enjoyed others from the author. This is not the same, and there’s no escape from the gruesome, graphic descriptions of violence against women. I cannot believe a woman wrote this. I abandoned the book 3/4 of the way through and got my money back.

Trying too hard

I know this is fiction, but It's so far away from actual life in the South as to be off-putting. The reader's "Southern" accent is cringe-wortht. I would have abandoned the book if I had additional credits this month.
