Historia
In Ava’s dreams, her son, Noah, looks just the way she remembers him: a sweet two-year-old in rolled-up jeans and a red sweatshirt. When Ava wakes, the agonizing truth hits her all over again. Noah went missing two years ago, and his body has never been found. Almost everyone, including Ava’s semi-estranged husband, Wyatt, assumes the boy drowned after falling off the dock near their Church Island home. Ava has spent most of the past two years in and out of Seattle mental institutions, shattered by grief and unable to recall the details of Noah’s disappearance.

Historia
Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

Revisado: 02-06-13
What was one of the most memorable moments of And One Last Thing...?
It's all memorable! From someone who was in a similiar situation....I only wish I had had the wit, wisdom and suport that Lacy had. It's funny becuase it's true.
What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?
Just enough edge to her voice to make her brilliant and enough softness to make the listener think that she has been through this herself.

Makes you wonder if things like this really happen? Deja vu?
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I listen while Ii work so I was always waiting to get back to them. It was one of those books where you worry about the characters and miss them when it's over.
Did Carrington MacDuffie do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
It was good. I've heard better but still enjoyable.

Historia
In the middle of the year, in the middle of her life, Bethanne Hamlin takes a road trip with her daughter Annie, and her former mother-in-law, Ruth. They’re driving to Florida for Ruth’s 50th high school reunion. A long-time widow, Ruth would like to reconnect with Royce, the love of her teenage life. She’s heard he’s alone, too…and, well, she’s curious. Maybe even hopeful. Bethanne herself needs time to reflect, to ponder a decision she has to make. Her ex-husband, Grant – her children’s father – wants to reconcile now that his second marriage has failed.

Predictable
Revisado: 11-29-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Normally I enjoy Macomber. I listen to books while at work and find her books relaxing and entertaining. I especially love the characters in this series. They feel familiar, almost like family. But like family they are becoming predictable.
Has A Turn in the Road turned you off from other books in this genre?
Possibly. It's ALWAYS love, lose, love again even better than the first time. Does that really happen?
What aspect of Joyce Bean’s performance would you have changed?
I thought Joyce Beans performance was good. It's made it curious as to how these books are done. Does the reader do all the characters at was and then the editor put them together? The character voices are always spot on. You know...John always sounds like John and Grandma always sounds like Grandma.

Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 04-02-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I'm sure this book was good it's just not something I would normally listen to. It was my first Alex Cross experience. My sister loved the book so I thought I would give it a listen. I think maybe the subject of terrorism is still a bit difficult for me. I didn't finish the book, which for me is unusual, but I may at some point.
Would you be willing to try another book from James Patterson? Why or why not?
Maybe.
Did Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The characters were very distinct and imaginable as real people. I thought the performances were good.

Wonderful
Revisado: 01-26-12
If you could sum up Rainwater in three words, what would they be?
Gripping, moving, educational
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rainwater?
There are so many moments in this book that I bookmarked that I decided to listen to it again. I believe the point where Solly takes the defense of his mother into his own hands will be remembered for quite a while
Also, when the author was speaking of the destruction of the cattle I was lead to read more about that. It was a true action taken by the government. I was amazed by that.
Which scene was your favorite?
When they discovered the Solly was processing thoughts! Uplifting!
If you could rename Rainwater, what would you call it?
The name is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about this book.
Any additional comments?
I have read and listened to thousands of books. Rainwater is most definitely in my top 15.
