Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Absolutely fantastic from beginning to end!
Revisado: 01-11-23
I obsessively listened to this audio book every chance I got. The story grips you and the way the story moves along is just perfect. It made me laugh and cry... And cry-laugh. I *felt* the ups and downs of Astronaut Grace. It's hard to say what some of my favorite parts are because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but let me tell you, this is a wonderful, well worth it, journey. If you're on the fence about reading it, just five in, you won't regret it.

Historia
For years, the ancient alien AI known as Skippy (the Magnificent, don’t forget that part) has been able to do one impossible thing after another. What is his secret? It’s simple: 100 percent Grade-A extreme awesomeness. And also because he had never been faced with an opponent of equal power. Until now. This time, he might need a little help from a band of filthy monkeys.

Enjoyable but lacking in story progression
Revisado: 06-30-22
RC Bray is amazing as usual. This is the second to last book, and so I expected a LOT more explanation, depth, details and secrets to be revealed, but nope...
I am disappointed in that, however, I still enjoyed the story, the last few chapters really had me on a roller coaster so that was really fun, and of course Skippy and Joe are really fun to spend time with in general. I was wanting to get more details and history, more understanding of Skippy... More foreshadowing. But the ups and downs towards the end do make up for that a bit.
Craig, if you ever read this, you've got a great imagination and so much to give, please consider hiring some help to give your stories more depth, history and world building.

I purposefully took my time reading this one because I didn't want it to end.... Can't wait for the next one, that was quite the cliffhanger!

Great performance, story is good, could be better
Revisado: 06-28-17
While the performance was amazing, the story lacked a little something, I felt like way too much *stupid stuff* kept happening to the main characters. I found myself rolling my eyes and saying "really?!".... Not enough actual story telling, too much "let me explain every detail of some random things". Outside of that the story was great, and I can't wait to find out what happened to everyone!

It's one of those books that stays with you. I first read it about 10 years ago and it is still something I go back and read or listen to at least once a year. Wonderful story, captivating characters, and endless love.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Great story, not so great narrator
Revisado: 06-30-16
I've always loved this story, but the narrator is so strange, she speaks like a robot most of the time... But when she does Ann's voice it's quite nice... I can't understand why that is.

Great story, for the most part.
Revisado: 05-17-16
I liked the story, it was pretty good, kept me wanting to hear more. But I also had a lot of qualms with it. Parts were way out there and hard to believe. I found myself thinking "Yea right, who would actually say/do that". The narrator was okay, certainly not as bad as some of the reviews make it seem. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.

Interesting story, weirdly narrated.
Revisado: 04-11-16
I really enjoyed the premise of the story, it was interesting. The narrator was kind of strange, I'm not sure I liked it. Kind of staccato with her words, sort of like a robot trying to disguise itself as human? It kind of worked for the story seeing as she's a clone though.
