Historia
When a prominent family's daughter flees sleepy Sussex to seek a career on the stages of a glittering West End, Harry and Kat are asked to check in on the young woman. But the two of them soon discover that there is a much bigger danger to the woman and her family than mere acting dreams being crushed. Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series "Piece of Cake".

Boring

The book was boring and I didn't finish it. The characters were blah. The story line was meh. The Cherringham series is way better.

Historia
The snow is thick, the phone line is down, and no one is getting in or out of Warbeck Hall. All is set for a lovely Christmas, with friends and family gathered round the fire, except as the bells chime midnight, a murder is committed. But who is responsible? The scorned young lover? The lord's passed-over cousin? The social-climbing politician's wife? The Czech history professor? The obsequious butler? And perhaps the real question is: Can they survive long enough to find out?

A Different Cozy
Revisado: 09-06-21
I loved this book! It's a different take on a cozy novel. What's different is that you don't know who the amateur detective is until the end! The reader was superb and the tale intriguing. It wasn't just another same old, same old, cozy, and the characters not the same ones I'd grown used to. Did I say, I loved this book?

Not his best
Revisado: 01-28-19
The book seems rushed to me. The chants are at machine gun speed—sometimes so fast that you can't chant along with him. There is very little information about planetary rulerships which would help you decide which mantra to use.I'd recommend purchasing a different book by him.

A Great Adventure
Revisado: 09-23-18
I first read Enid Blyton 60 years ago. I still love to read (and listen) to her. She is able to write for and about children without talking down to them. These kids are real and likable. Do yourself a favor and listen! Give your children a gift and let them meet this wonderful writer!

Written by veteran police sergeant Adam Plantinga, 400 Things Cops Know brings the listener into life the way cops experience it - a life of danger, frustration, occasional triumph, and plenty of grindingly hard routine work.

Historia
A wounded soldier and a rector's daughter discover strange goings-on in the sleepy village of Kurland St. Mary in Catherine Lloyd's charming Regency-set mystery debut. Major Robert Kurland has returned to the quiet vistas of his village home to recuperate from the horrors of Waterloo. However injured his body may be, his mind is as active as ever. Too active, perhaps. When he glimpses a shadowy figure from his bedroom window struggling with a heavy load, the tranquil faade of the village begins to loom sinister....

A Good Historical Mystery
Revisado: 02-14-15
This mystery is placed in the Tutor period. There are good stong characters that are very likable. There are also scoundrels. The attitudes of the period toward women are had to listen to or read, but the story is believable and the book is very intreguing.

Revisado: 01-10-15
I never knew what the brave men and women of Britain went through during the war. This was an aspect of history that was totally unknown to me. I am so inspired by these stories and these people. I especially loved hearing the voices of those who experienced the war, and not just a narrative. Wonderful!

Historia
The Unfinished Clue is a clever and humorous murder mystery set at a British country estate in the 1930s. There, each of the invited guests, along with the victim's wife and the estate's staff members (the butler, the maids, the gardener), had good reason to hate the arrogant and abrasive victim. Sir Arthur Billington-Smith had successfully alienated each and every one of them.

A Masterful Mystery and a Masterful Performance
Revisado: 07-01-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Unfinished Clue to be better than the print version?
The performance showed the characters off to best advantage.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lola, the Mexican dancer was a hoot! Quirky characters abounded.
Any additional comments?
The audible version made the book come alive for me and I would certainly recommend it. The reader was absolutely superb and a reader that I want to seek out in the future. Ms. Heyer was a master author and I hope many more of her mysteries become available. I might even be tempted to listen to one of her romances just to enjoy more of her work.

Awful, awful, awful
Revisado: 11-16-13
Would you try another book from Fellowship for the Performing Arts and/or Max McLean?
No
What didn’t you like about Max McLean’s performance?
The overly dramatic music playing constantly in the background ruined the listening experience for me. I never was able to listen to it with any pleasure.
Any additional comments?
I also didn't like that each book of the Bible ended up being a separate download. It really clutters up my library.

Now an Army Ranger, he returns to a place overrun by corruption, and finds his uncle, the county sheriff, dead - a suicide, he's told, but others whisper murder.

Not so hot
Revisado: 06-12-13
What disappointed you about The Ranger?
I didn't like Jeff Woodman as a reader. His southern accents were over the top. I also didn't like the characters.
Would you be willing to try another one of Jeff Woodman’s performances?
Nope.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Dislike and indifference.
Any additional comments?
I just wasn't interested in the story and never finished it.
