You don’t get to know much about captain lee on the show but this book lets you hear some stories from before the show.
I would have liked to hear more (or another book?) on his time filming the show.
You can tell he is not really a writer because it is written a little poorly. Maybe next time he should have someone write for him.

The story line was basic and cute, nothing too major. The narration lacked a bit, when a character mage a loud exclamation the sound was loud too (volume was not consistent). Other than that it is your normal ugly duckling gets rescued by a hunky millionaire story line.

I wanted so much more

The story line was kinda new. There were plots and twist all over the place. Very ‘gone girl’ like. I really wanted to love this book but I felt like I had an abridged version of the story. I wanted there to be so much more. The story would jump ahead days/weeks/months with little details. It felt like it was written in a hurry. I really wanted to love this book but about 2/3 the way through it was like the writer just wanted the story over. So sad because I so wanted to like this book.

What did you like best about The World of Ice & Fire? What did you like least?

I liked some of the histories of the different houses and having some things cleared up.

What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I would have liked the book to be more like the stories of GOT and less like a history book. It was nice to know some back stories but it was not as captivating as the main books.

What about Roy Dotrice and Nicholas Guy Smith ’s performance did you like?

They always do a good job with their performances and they are very consistent.

Was The World of Ice & Fire worth the listening time?

I don't think so, not for the story. It truly felt like a history book and less of a story. Almost like there were facts written about each house just for the writers to refer back to when writing GOT and they decided to turn it into a book. It was boring.

Any additional comments?

You have to really like the GOT series and be invested enough to read a history book about a fictional story. It took me months to finish this audio book.

What did you love best about Down the Rabbit Hole?

I loved the real look into what men think is the real "girl next door" type girl and to what girls think me want. Holly tells you about her mistakes she made and then some more mistakes she made. My perceptions of who I thought she was is just shattered.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Down the Rabbit Hole?

I don't have just one favorite. Maybe it might have been how her Heff impersonations felt spot on!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I would love to see Holly write and produce a movie (not like House Bunny, even though it was cute). She has a story that needs to be told, maybe in movie mini series style so she cant leave anything out!!! The tag line needs to be Alice themed. Someone push her to make this a movie or write another book!!!

Like i say, the book is great and I don't feel that anything was vindictive and meant to shed some truth and give explanations on what we all perceived. Anyone who loves that Playboy image needs to read this book to see what its like on the inside.

I had a friend recommend this book to me because I like future dystopian societies books. Warning: Don't get attached to anyone. Just like Game of Thrones, as soon as you start to like someone they may be removed from the story. You have to read all the way through to Dust to get the full scope. So many twists and turns!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Not really. The book was a little hard to follow with the jumps in time and name changes. I had to restart it because I got lost and thought i missed something. It was more like a history book about how the silos became to be and government deceptions. I helps to understand things things that happen in Wool and Dust was a great way to end it!

What made the experience of listening to No Country for Old Men the most enjoyable?

I loved the narration. It really sold me and transported me to another time and place. The story was slow going but I couldn't stop reading.

Yes, I am not into that syfi-ish books but this was great.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how everything came together from the first two books and every lose end was completed.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending of silo 18 got me good.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was disappointed in this book. I thought that it was going to be a 'coming-of-age' for a young lady who lost everything but most things felt unresolved. The story was cute but i think it could have been much much longer and gone into more details with her inner struggles and romantic struggles.

Would you recommend My Life with the Walter Boys to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes & No. Yes, to a girl who is a teen or tween. If you are looking for details and resolutions then no.

What does Renée Chambliss bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She gives voices to charters and gave emotions...

This is a great teen/tween book. It is not too deep and really doesn't make you think too much. fairly basic but a cute storry.
