characters; their names and voices were confusing at times

Yes to some extent it’s apples to oranges. New book new journey with new characters. However this book and I did not make friends.

Felt it was like that extremely self involved person at a cocktail party that just won’t. Stop. Talking.

Maybe book three?

Could have been a contender

This book could have been a juice box full of goodness but ended up being a empty plastic bag of YAWNING

I read another review that said although there was nothing wrong with the story it just didn’t inspire the reader to finish. Here, here! The author gives an incredible origination story to the paranormal but then doesn’t do much with it.

Then she throws in dying pets and mutilated puppies. If anything throws me off a book it’s the killing of furry friends without immediate revenge.

Does that count as a spoiler? I don’t think so because it’s in the story description. So if you’re a patient reader, and one that doesn’t love consistent action this book is for you

Don’t be fooled by the happy cover

I bought this book because the cover looked like it was going to be s humorous story. I was fooled. So iff you are bummed out this is not the book for you.Be warned that if you don’t like it when everything hoes bad, this is not the book for you. However, the story was very intriguing and I really wanted to find out what happens to the characters.
The narrator was very good and did a great job differentiating the characters voices. Even including a great southern accent.

Slow paced

This book almost reminds me of James Michener with the amount of details given to apparel, history, traditions and social interactions. There were times I enjoyed it but they were to far apart in order to stick with it.

Women at this time did not have a choices or autonomy.

Calling all Cheese humorists

Never did I think there could be so many jokes, puns and downright silliness about cheese. I’d be curious to get people’s opinion on what cheese symbolizes in an over examinations for the storyline. I’m glad I stuck with the story- the first half was ‘meh’. But then the author turns it up! Almost every supportive cast member has hilarious quirks that are definitely one of a kind.

Performance to compare all others to

This espionage thriller is not my usual fair. It honestly gave me anxiety and stressed me out the further and further the characters proceeded. the narrators and sound effects are the best production I’ve heard. Well except for the harp strings in the background music. Otherwise definitely a 5 by 5 compilation of voices and sounds!

Bless-ed Be clear the way for Zombie angst

This book took some perseverance before I actually wanted to continue with the story instead of throwing it away. It was the biggest bummer in the beginning and I wasn’t exactly dreaming of butterflies and rainbows to start.

Yes there are dead people. I don’t think you can call that a spoiler because after all the title does contain the word ‘undead’. This is no Walking Dead though more like Clueless combined with the Mean Girls if you replace Claire and the Plastics with rotting corpses.

The narrator did an ok job. Not one to come up with unique voices for each character. It was a straight read. No flare.

And just to clarify it’s ‘Bless-Ed Be’ not ‘Blesd Be’.

If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all is what I was taught. So to honestly that idea Ill just conclude by saying No Thank You.
