A Very Enjoyable Series
Revisado: 12-28-24
Roseanna M. White has created a most enjoyable series. I don't believe that I have enjoyed a series more. Lords and Ladies, lions, tigers, chimpanzee, acrobatics, romance and fun. All written as a witness to God's help and strength, a reminder of God's goodness.

An explosion and fire at the Ashton Gunpowder Mill in Kent has killed over a hundred men. It's called an appalling tragedy - until suspicion and rumor raise the specter of murder. While visiting the Ashton family, Bess Crawford finds herself caught up in a venomous show of hostility that doesn't stop with Philip Ashton's arrest. Indeed, someone is out for blood, and the household is all but under siege.

I have enjoyed the character, Bess Crawford. So far the author has kept the series clean. Who will win her heart after the war, remains to be seen.
