As a fellow graduate of one of these programs, it was nice to see a book written about the experience. I hope that more kids from these programs will write about their experiences as the years go on, good work. Good read for anyone interested in this model of therapy, or who had no idea these programs existed

If you like this book, go read “The boy that was raised by dogs” — very similar message, more clinical anecdotes, equally as powerful message about trauma and humanity

If you care about this issue... read this book. If you're pro-gun, read this book; if you're anti-gun, read this book. If you think you "know everything" on the topic of mass shootings/mental health, read this book. They use interviews with parents of shooters, and interviews with some who are incarcerated for this type of violence as a way to show you how/where the media and society go wrong in speaking about and combatting this issue. Great book - hopefully it makes its way to both CNN and Fox for people to begin to de-politicize the issue

If you're interested in humanity, psychology/psychiatry, or just the general idea of how childhood and life experiences can lead people to do unspeakable things, this book is great. It's not a series of war stories, but rather an interesting and compassionate display of how difficult life is, what can happen when things go awry, and the complex relationships that occur between the patient, the clinicians, and the respective family members. If you enjoyed "The boy who was raised by a dog", you'll also appreciate this book - and if you read this and enjoy it, you should then go read The boy who was raised by a dog.

Instead of another book about the chaos of the Trump administration, this book is more about Trump's pre-presidency life/world. Give an interesting look into Trump's personality and the Trump business world and the mental gymnastics that seem to be required to survive in the world of Trump.
