Historia
Dr. Daniel Winters has a beachfront home in Malibu, a career as a respected pediatrician, and a gorgeous new wife, Mia. For a man whose past was rife with mental illness, addiction, and thoughts of suicide, it seems too good to be true. Then Daniel learns that a fellow pediatrician and his family were found slaughtered in their home. It’s just the first chip in the facade of Daniel’s perfect life. Little by little, everything starts to fall away. At work, his career becomes at risk when he’s asked to remain silent about a dangerous new drug. At home, Mia has gone from an affectionate newlywed to a mysterious woman carefully hiding secrets.

Historia
In August 1995, twenty-six passengers and a crew of three board a commuter plane in Atlanta headed for Gulfport, Mississippi. Shortly after takeoff they hear an explosion, and some see a mangled engine lodged against the wing. From that moment, nine minutes and twenty seconds elapse until the crippled plane crashes in a west Georgia hayfield. Gary Pomerantz takes listeners deep into the hearts and minds of the people aboard, each of whom prepares in his or her own way for what may come.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The story is poorly written and the narrator was ok but the book was so bad it didn't matter

Historia
On June 9, 2008, the butchered body of Travis Alexander was found in his Mesa, Arizona, home. The grisly nature of his death made instant headlines: With 29 knife wounds, his throat slit, and a gunshot to the head, Travis was left to die. The prime suspect in the case was Alexander's ex-girlfriend, the attractive and soft-spoken Jodi Arias. Though Arias initially said that she was nowhere near the scene of crime, little about this case was as it seemed, and before long she had been caught lying to police. As the investigation progressed, her lies evolved multiple times before finally resting on an appalling claim: She had killed Travis in self-defense.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The narration was great in this book. I liked the storyline but it dragged on and seemed to repeat itself when going over the trials.
Would you be willing to try another book from Jane Velez-Mitchell? Why or why not?
Jane velez is very knowledgeable and has accurate and up to date information from her work on HLN.

Historia
At 9 am on Wednesday 13th July 1955, Ruth Ellis became the last woman to hang in Britain. Convicted of shooting her unfaithful lover, David Blakeley, in cold blood, as he stood by his sports car on Easter Sunday - the calm and dignified court appearance of this young mother of two, and the furore that accompanied her sentence, ensured this trial was to have a memorable place in the annals of British Justice.
