I liked it all. Hope there will be a series! The wife is so corny and such a hoot. The characters are all very scarily believable!

Accent
Revisado: 08-07-13
What did you love best about Mercy?
I am about half way through the book and really enjoying the story. The reader is great for the part of the book where the characters don't have accents.
What did you like best about this story?
I am from South Louisiana so love to listen to stories that take place there.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Her South Louisiana accent is so distracting. It isn't even close to authentic.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Except for the distraction of the reader it is good.
Any additional comments?
Think it would be so much better to have a person with an authentic accent read those parts of the book.

This is such a wonderfully written and narrated story. I really hate that it is over and do hope that Ms. Patchett will continue in another book and that Hope Davis will perform it.

Historia
In the rural parishes of Louisiana's French Triangle, young women are disappearing one by one, only to turn up on the banks of the bayou, strangled and cast aside where they are sure to be found. That once-burning obsession had destroyed her credibility, her career, her marriage - and nearly her sanity. Trite
Revisado: 10-14-12
Would you try another book from Tami Hoag and/or Joyce Bean?
I have read this author before and was not expecting so much fluff and so little story. This book could have been easily told in a third of the book as there was so much repeat of the same old "stuff". I kept thinking I lost my place and was repeating the same chapter over and over.
Would you ever listen to anything by Tami Hoag again?
Not before reading more about the book.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator did a good job considering what she had to work with.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Can't think of any.
