Historia
In this provocative talk, Osho starts with our assumption that we are interested, maybe even passionately interested, in knowing the truth - and he tears it to shreds. He goes back in history with razor sharp clarity to illustrate our long-time avoidance of the truth, and our need to hide out in illusion.

Mingled philosophies
Revisado: 01-23-23
There are certainly parallels between religions but this talk draws on concepts from Christianity and twists them to match his own (and others’) teachings. Parts of it draw near to truth, but it’s stacks principles on falsely adapted points and continues to build off of their foundation, this building a house of cards with a precariously assumed foundation. I disagree with many foundational points, thus the house falls apart. Maybe listening to it again will yield a better perspective, but my feeling is “no, just no.”

Excellent book, expertly narrated!
Revisado: 06-16-21
I enjoyed the SYFY series but got lost in the character development and lost interest before the end of season 2. This book held my captivated attention from beginning to end. Unlike the crew of the series which feels haphazardly thrown together, the book describes a highly efficient and collaborative team, where each role is filled correctly (not inefficiently) and though the challenges facing them seem insurmountable, it’s a thrill ride from cover to cover.
Eager to continue the series, and happy to have it in my library!

Too much speculation
Revisado: 04-04-21
I understand that astrology is an imaging science where we have far more questions than answers, but the value of speciation (which takes up the better majority of this book) isn’t enough to warrant studying this book at any deep level. I love physics and science but estimating the age or mass of the universe, or the age of stars based on their lithium content, too little substance to rely on. A quick, surface read was all the interest I could muster to get thru this book.

Excellent research thoughtfully written
Revisado: 10-11-20
This book provides an interesting look into struggles parents face on topics considered resolved, but have they been? Can the societal meaning of certain subjects for kids change or has the decision been made poorly? This book addresses many thoughtful subjects in a well handled way. I will read this book many times and it has suggested new ways of parenting that I’ll now happily discuss with my wife.

Worth listening to once, but not again
Revisado: 07-24-20
For a biography it felt light, more like a radio broadcast than a book. The phrase about Bill Patterson playing both Holmes and Watson several times was repeated 5+ times, which suggested that it was made for a radio audience.
