True in every way!!!
Revisado: 02-18-19
Very well written and a great portrayal of what nurses go through each day as tbey care for their patients. As a nurse for 26 years, I could completely relate to everything Theresa shares in this book. Thank you Theresa for writing this book and sharing just a glimpse of the struggles and occasional joys of being a nurse.

Historia
Drawing on dozens of intimate audio interviews with families from all across the country, award-winning psychologist and writer Andrew Solomon redefines what it means to be an “ideal family” in America today. Solomon observes that America, led in large part by the women’s, civil rights, and gay rights movements, has undergone a radical social shift in the last few decades. Although the structure of family has changed, economic and legal structures lag behind and need to adapt to accommodate this explosive new reality.

Historia
You’ve heard of an Essex Girl or even a Chelsea Girl, but what about a Hounslow Girl? Definition of a Hounslow Girl: a young Muslim woman who wears hooped earrings with her headscarf and grapples with traditional values while hustling her way through urban London. The Diary of a Hounslow Girl is a bold and provocative one-person play, written and performed by Ambreen Razia. From the joys of traditional Pakistani weddings to fights on the night bus, this is a comic story of dreams, aspirations and coming of age, told through the eyes of a 16-year-old British Muslim girl.

Anxiety provoking performance!
Revisado: 12-14-18
I can picture this is as a stage play although I would truly have to be a Hounslow girl to really get it even though I could relate to a lot of the story being a Indian woman living in the US since the age of 5.
The audio version truly does not translate well. It is very difficult to listen to with all of the strange background sound effects/music, strong British accent and the heavy breathing! The performance gave me anxiety listening to it. I mean proper anxiety!!!

Great presentation despite sick perversion of the gardener! What a psycopath! I hope one would never be able to do this to anyone!!!

I was left wondering about Josh and if Melanie ever found happiness. The narration was pretty annoying with the He said, She said, Vicky said, etc...

Historia
The story of a student who went to extraordinary lengths - including living in a van on a campus parking lot - to complete his education without sacrificing his financial future. In a frank and self-deprecating voice, memoirist Ken Ilgunas writes about the existential terror of graduating from college with $32,000 in student debt. Inspired by Thoreau, Ilgunas set himself a mission: get out of debt as soon as humanly possible. To that end, he undertook an extraordinary three-year transcontinental journey.
