I highly recommend this book for anyone who is experiencing a loss of any kind in their life. This sensitively written book beautifully narrated by the author, Mike Polek, is a gentle, supportive way of exploring the experience of grief that comes with loss. Mike expertly reconstructs Elizabeth Kubler Ross’s five stages of grief theory in a whole new way that gives the reader permission to experience any stage at any time as a whole dimensional person, Which I found quite liberating. Mr. Polek’s narration is like hearing from a dear friend who is there to support you in your most human moments. Curl up with a cup of tea and a comfy blanket and give yourself the opportunity to explore the gifts that can be found through the process of letting go.
