Jack Frost, brother to Santa Clause, has a problem to be solved. People are missing. What happened to them? He disguises his daughter Jane with a special bracelet that hides her true identity.
Her first night in Nocturne Falls she meets people that amaze her especially the vampire. She has to unravel the mystery of disappearing workers. It is interesting how she finds out what is going on here.

Poverty, hunger and pain, loss of siblings, it is a hard story that is handled very well by the author.
I will be looking forward to the next book in the series.
The audio voices bring out the harshness of some characters and the kindness Frank finds.

Narrator brings the story to life.

Men will like the strong cop and crime story. Women will like Nate and Clair. This is why women read romance novels and how they wish the men in their lives think of them. The author surprised me with the tense investigation and then the tenderness toward Clair.
New author for me I will look for more books by Kwen Griffeth.
Liked the Narrator too, Paul J. Mc Soreley.

Must read book,and I will follow this author. Difficult subject matter handled so well. Be sure you have time 4 hours and11 minutes because you will want to read it all the way through in one sitting. THE TWISTED MIND OF CLETUS COMPTON is that good.
Audible makes the characters come alive. It add so much depth to the story.

This is a great story. I had read it before I got the audible version.
So much more came out by having a good voice to read it. Missed a lot reading this book before.
I like hearing the different characters speaking. That makes a more interesting tale. Murder, Crime Boss, Twins separated at birth, neat characters, what more could a reader/listener want?
