Historia
Founded over 400 years ago, Sanctus Infinitus Redemptio is a private and very elite society, where dominance and submission are revered. Steeped in tradition and excellence, every dominant, every submissive, and their pairing are selected with great care. When Hunter Vargo is brought into the Sanctus, his need for strict dominance sees him paired with the wrong master. But only a short time later, mistreated and his trust broken, he’s recalled, his collar removed. The grand master knows it will take a special kind of dominant to restore the sub’s faith and trust.

Didn't think I'd like it but I did.
Revisado: 04-04-25
This isn't my usual sort of story but I ended up loving it. I especially loved Levin. He was so endearing and adorable he made me fall in love. Hunter was also great and Sig as well. When I first started the audiobook I was afraid I'd hate it because the voices felt so overdone in the first minutes but then for whatever reason I suddenly really started enjoying the accents and the voices. Nick Russo did a fantastic job and I fell in love with the characters. The sex scenes were very hot but there was also so much emotional connection, it made the story feel much deeper.

Spent the entire book irritated.
Revisado: 03-13-25
Sorry, I liked the first book but this one was boring and REALLY aggravating. There wasn't enough story here. The "bad guy" is a joke. He's literally stalking Ian. They have hundreds of texts showing he's doing that. He assaulted Ian in the last book, and on his boat in THIS book. But nobody seems to care about that they all just want to pretend only Tyler would be in trouble. He had Ian AND Ian's pal Chris as witnesses when he went after the "bad guy" but Tyler just wants to fall on his sword. It is really not a great story. The author didn't have enough of a story so everything is over dramatic and nothing but sex and annoying internal dialog as Tyler makes dumb decision after dumb decision. He treats Ian like he's a simpleton. If I was Ian I'd be furious at how he treated me like I haven't a spine or a brain. Can't recommend this book even though the narration was great.

Historia
Chicago homicide detective Tyler Jamison has accepted the fact that he was born defective. Women just don't do it for him, and he can't contemplate any other option. So, loneliness it is. Ian Alexander has met the man of his dreams, but the guy's in complete denial of his sexuality. Ian's not giving up on Tyler, though. Tyler's a domineering, controlling force of nature...just what Ian has always craved in his bed. When a serial killer sets his sights on Ian, Tyler will do anything to protect the much younger man.

I especially loved the narration. J.F. Harding is one of my favorite narrators, but I was pleasantly surprised by Jack DuPont as well. He held his own for sure. The story was good, not fantastic, but it kept my interest. The bad guy was fairly easy to spot, but I still found myself listening to the book even when I had other things to do.

Historia
When introverted doctor Ben Hardy's high-maintenance girlfriend wants to introduce a little more kink into their love life, he doesn't expect it to come in the form of the hunky new EMT who just moved to Blackwood. Ben's not gay, but damn! He can definitely see why all the women turn to mush when he's around: tall, blue eyes, body of an underwear model. The prospect of being naked in the same room with him is horrifying. So why the hell is he considering it?

Last half puts the corn in corny.
Revisado: 03-02-25
I got this audiobook because I love J.F. Harding. But even he couldn't save this mess as it progressed. It started off okay. Ben's girlfriend wants a threesome with the hot new guy in town. The story was all you'd expect: the straight guy angsting over maybe liking guys. Oh, the horror. It got a little ridiculous when Ben and Corey are having relations at the hospital. Apparently they had nothing else to do even though Ben is the Chief of Staff? It wasn't great, but because J.F. Harding's voice is so good, I just went with it. But THEN the last few chapters spiraled into complete cornball nonsense. I was laughing out loud at the silliness of the story as a big bad gangster comes to claim Corey. It was so CRINGE. I mean it was like a different book suddenly. I don't know if the author lost interest and that's why they threw that embarrassing storyline into the book but it was really boring and insanely bad. I almost didn't finish the audiobook but there wasn't much to go and there aren't enough MM books with J.F. Harding, so I persevered.

Historia
One cold December day, two men are blindsided by a hockey trade; one is the most decorated goalie in the league, while the other one is the youngest coach in the majors. Jethro Hale is the last player Coach Clay Powers wants to see on his roster, but the G.M. pulls a fast one. And it's not like he can even explain why. Nobody knows about their love affair fifteen years ago. Cue the all-star awkwardness, the painful memories and the reawakening of deep feelings on both sides.

Rarely rate anything 5 star but I loved this story
Revisado: 02-20-25
I'll be honest, the narrators made it for me with this one. The story was sweet and I really enjoyed it. The hockey scenes kept me on the edge of my seat and the romance was really nicely done. The family stuff wasn't over done. I don't love books with lots of kids or side characters, but this one worked. I LOVE J.F. Harding's narration. Teddy is great too but there is just something about J.F. Harding's voices that are fantastic. The guys felt like guys. A lot of MM feels like women with male pronouns, but these dudes felt like and sounded like dudes. I'm still thinking about Clay and Jethro long after the audiobook ended and that's a good thing. Wish there were more well written MM romance books narrated by Harding and Teddy.

In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

DNF BORING
Revisado: 02-18-25
I’ve enjoyed several of these authors audiobooks and I always enjoy Teddy and Jacob’s narration but even they couldn’t save this mess. I suspect all the 5 star reviews were bought and paid for because there is no story here. It starts off funny and entertaining but then the guys go to Miami and suddenly do nothing but have sex. One guy has supposedly never been with a guy and he’s instantly down for anything? No. The endless smexy times was monotonous. I couldn’t even finish it.

Not much story. One dimensional.
Revisado: 05-08-24
This one started off okay, but it quickly turned into nothing but sex. And not good sex either. The two guys had zero chemistry. Zero reason for being together. Dom is one-dimensional and like a cartoon character villain. I can't see any reason why these two guys would fall in love. Dom is unlikable and the other guy is vapid. There's nothing to bind them other than lust. It was entertaining-ish, but I can't say I really LIKED it. It was good enough for when there's nothing else to listen to.

Historia
With our family's legacy, Meyers B&B, in the flailing hands of me, Sam Meyers, and my sister, Wynne, we're determined to revive the place. We've started a series of blind-date cooking classes and taken on our first boarder. Granddad is even now rolling in his grave. Signed up for the class is our new guest, Aaron Saunders, a Californian transplant who's distractingly handsome and clearly up to no good. I can't quite figure him out. He blew into town and has been relentless in his search for...something.

Revisado: 04-25-24
LB is a new author to me although I guess she's been around a long time. I found this story touching and funny. I saw someone recommend it somewhere so I gave it a try. Sam and Aaron were both charming characters and the sex scenes were really well done. I was impressed by how the author interjected humor into the story without taking me out of the story. Seems like a lot of authors have trouble doing that.
I'll seek out more books by this author. I didn't think I'd like the narrator at first, but he was very good, and he won me over. Listen to the sample to be sure you like his voice.

I’ve never been romantic. Just ask my ex-wife. Since she broke up with me, I get my needs met any time I want, without putting my heart on the line. Exactly how I like it. But when she is called overseas and leaves me with our child, my bachelor lifestyle ends faster than you can say, “Daddy, I want a pony.” I need help. Problem is, help’s come in the form of an incredibly hot nanny. My employee. Who is much younger than me. And also...a guy.

Daniel Mulligan is tough, snarky, and tattooed, hiding his self-consciousness behind sarcasm. Daniel has never fit in - not at home in Philadelphia with his auto mechanic father and brothers, and not at school where his Ivy League classmates looked down on him. Now, Daniel's relieved to have a job at a small college in Holiday, Northern Michigan, but he's a city boy through and through, and it's clear that this small town is one more place he won't fit in.

Pretentious. Could have cut seven hours.
Revisado: 04-25-24
First off, I'm in the minority, but I really liked this narrator. I loved his voice. I loved his emotions. Yeah, he wasn't great at doing different voices, but I really liked his tone. That being said, I think he got tired toward the end of this enormously too long book. Who could blame him?
The book started off fine. I thought the idea was good. The writing was fair. Roan obviously takes herself too seriously and the writing felt like she was trying too hard, but she was competent. Then, halfway through the author seemed to have no story left to tell. It was nothing but boring, endless conversations with Ginger, and sex scenes that were lifeless and dull and way too long considering the author's skill in writing them. I started to question if this author had ever even had sex, and that's not really what you want your readers to be doing.
I don't understand why the book had to be 13 and a half hours long? THERE WAS NO STORY. Once the guys got together, it was just boring rambling inside the guy's head. And Daniel was so dumb. He's supposedly a professor or something but I mean the guy can't make eggs. The guy boiled bacon? WHY would he boil bacon? Is he dull-witted? The humor was so heavy handed, it was like a kid's humor. Although, knock knock jokes would have been better, to be honest.
Rex's character was okay. The gentle giant kind of thing. But the repetition about what he smelled like was endless. We get it, the the one guy smelled like cedar. WE GET IT. But I guess with a book that long repetition is inevitable. A good editor probably could have helped by literally cutting the book in half.
I don't get the large number of 5 star reviews. I suspect she paid for them because I refuse to believe there are that many stupid people out there. But then again, Trump got elected so...
If you're looking to get more bang for your buck by using a credit on this tomb, you'll be sorry. Go for a well written seven hour audiobook instead.
