The narrator was stilted and slightly painful

I have never written a review before, but this book was uncomfortable to listen too. 1. The narrator was not very good, and in an audible book, that is the kiss of death. 2. the story's lead character was a contradiction and unbelievable in her stupidity for being "so smart". I only kept listening to the book in hopes the author would develop the lead character, but when she started to develop, she only fell flat. I often listen to my books 2-5 times, this one is a one and done. I wish I could return it to the library instead of having purchased it.
