Historia
She’s feeling the heat. Or it might be a hot flash. Sometimes it’s really hard to tell. It’s been four years since Monica lost the love of her life to a sudden and devastating heart attack. She’s held her family together and picked herself up with the love and help of her two best friends. Now Monica has a new business, a new wardrobe, and a new vision for the future. As in actual psychic visions. Dreams that manifest in reality? Monica’s still not sure why or how it happened, but she’s been seeing everything from unexpected visitors to visions of fire and destruction.

Great Series
Revisado: 09-30-24
The first two books were great. This book bothered me because the narrator gave Monica an accent. In the first two books she didn’t have one. It was annoying. I still enjoyed the books.

Historia
October is very happy with her life as the second daughter of her pureblood parents, Amandine and Simon Torquill. Born to be the changeling handmaid to her beloved sister August, she spends her days working in her family’s tower, serving as August’s companion, and waiting for the day when her sister sets up a household of her own. Everything is right in October’s Faerie. Everything is perfect. Everything is a lie.

Not as good
Revisado: 09-20-23
Ok, right off I have to admit that I love October Day series. But felt this story was lacking. In the beginning the whole thing dragged. I couldn’t stand the weak Toby. Finally it picked up when the Sea Witch showed up. The rest of the story was rushed. No real details or life in the end. Just she did this and they did that. Disappointing.

Hard to explain

There were things in the story I didn’t like. Others things I did. Love the narrator. I just didn’t care for the story overall.

Frustrated
Revisado: 06-21-22
It drives me nuts when an author doesn’t write one book instead of breaking it up into two or three book. What is wrong with one long book? This book was interesting. I like the characters. After saying that it began to be redundant with Emily’s constant “I’m his mother”. I felt more for Olivia than Emily. At least Olivia acted consistently. Emily was the one changing the rules. I’m onto the second book, Grounded.

Really?
Revisado: 06-03-22
It was difficult to get through this book . I could stand Jill, such a wishy-washy personality, but I did like El. The use of nomenclature that seemed out of place. The story lacked any meat to it. It was a waste of time to listen to. The narrator also lacked personality.

Disappointed
Revisado: 05-25-22
Right off I felt everything was forced and contrived, so unrealistic. There was not much substance in the characters. Maybe taking more time to flesh out the story and people would improve the dynamics between characters.

Well let’s begin with saying this was a sweet story. The narrator was excellent. Her cadence and timing was right on. Very easy to listen to.

Horrible
Revisado: 05-14-22
The narrator needs more practice. Her timing is all wrong. And the voices she uses don’t match the people. The story is weak. Very predictable. Clay acting like a hot head with no brains was painful to listen to. Wish I hadn’t bought this book.

Depressing.
Revisado: 02-24-22
I really, really hate when a writer leaves on a cliff hanger to sell more books. I was hoping throughout this book something good would happen. Instead I was drug through death, fear, and the lose of everything. Ruined my whole day and made me depressed. No redeeming quality to be had. Going through all of the book I had hoped the author would give us something, but alas nothing. If I had known I would not have wasted my money.

Could be better
Revisado: 11-24-21
The whole story seemed rushed. It would have been nice to see the characters fleshed out a bit more. I felt there were advances in the story line which had no explanation. The editing could have been better. Gaps in narration interfered with pace of the story, causing me to lose interest in what was happening.
