I read an older version a few years ago and it just didn't quite click (partly I don't think I truly wanted to quit yet). This revised edition fixes all of my (usually small) criticisms and best of all it finally clicked and I am joyously a non-smoker again. :3

I have struggled miserably in the relationship with my mother ever since I grew old enough to start develop independence, she stunted it as best she could. Even now as a 35yo man she gets upset if I don't acquiesce to her every whim like I am still 2, she is extremely obviously BPD and NPD noe that I finally really know what these words mean and it is a powerful validation, to wake up finally from just how gaslit I have been.

The book makes very clear you sbould not approach them directly about your beliefs because the illness will guide their reaction. Knowing this I decided I needed to address the issue anyway for the simple reason she picks me apart and pulls out any secret I have so she would have pryed out this tooth sooner rather than later so I wanted it to happen on my terms. To your lack of response she did bot respond well, in fact she did not reapond at all. After all this time I simply seem to be dead to her.

Do bot take this as a sad story because I am so free and have wanted to escape this relationship for some time. I pray she gets well but I am not meant to be the one to fix her, I will pray and hope but I must love her from a distance for a time.

What greater lesson is there to learn?

If I may spoil the Three Magic Words for you (and I do believe the book is still well worth your time even knowing them): "You Are God."
I did not discover this revalation through this book but rather a divinely inspired thought coming seemingly from no related preceeding thought, simply sitting in my arm chair a few years back I was struck dumb with the complete knowledge "I am God." I had never once considered this possibility or been presented with it before but as if the skies themselves had parted and a dove flew down I knew it's absolute truth. I am quite curious for someone like you(?) who is on their path but not reached that point and what it will feel like for you when the time comes for such knowledge to be known bone deep having been presented with it but perhaps not grasping the all powerful truth of it yet.
If that describes you at all this book would be a great stone on your path, it beautifully synthesizes (while predating) most of the master teachers I have had the blessing to learn lessons from. Other authors I highly reccomend: Rhonda Byrne, Wayne W Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Neville, and Alan Watts. Not a bad book between the bunch of them.

Difficult to listen to.

I give it five stars because it is an invaluable archive but damn are these hard to listen to. The audio quality can be atrocious and the ads can be like a literal alarm suddenly going off much louder than his voice.

Utterly and bewilderingly life changing

I've heard the concept of the Law of Attraction before but never put it into focused action until reading this book this week. It's amazing to look back at the ways LoA shaped my life up to now while I was unaware of it's power and now it is entralling to imagine the life I will create for myself now that I know The Secret.
