Predictability

I didn’t like the narrator. I didn’t like the story, the cliches, predictability and long drawn whole lot of nothing interesting .

Historia
A boy meets a girl. The past meets the future. A finger meets a trigger. The beginning meets the end. England is forever; England must fall. The Ministry of Time is a novel about Commander Graham Gore (R.N. c.1809-c.1847) and a woman known only as the bridge. As their relationship turns from the strictly professional into something more and uneasy truths begin to emerge, they are forced to face the reality of the project that brought them together.

Authenticity

I love every word of it. I am in awe of brave Iranian woman, and at he same time very sad that even after all this years the woman’s rights in Iran are not improved. The spirit of Iranian people shines brightly even under the long lasting strain of cruel oppression.

Is this meant to be a children's book?
Revisado: 10-05-24
The narrator and narration were wrong. It all sounds so infantile and manages to ruin a small part of the story that otherwise could be OK.
All in all, it was an irritating listen, a predictable story (children may still like it), and a great disappointment.

Narration could be better, but the narrator for the Cherry character was over the top half of the time, unpleasantly screechy.

Historia
Librarian Sylvia Ashe knows nothing about her past, having grown up without a father and a mother who refused to discuss him. When she stumbles upon a diary that suggests she's descended from magicians, she's skeptical. After all, magicians are special, and she's just an ordinary woman who loves books. She seeks answers from a member of the most prominent family of magicians, but she quickly learns that finding the truth won't be easy, especially when he turns out to be as artless as her, and more compelling and dangerous than books.

Not a mystery
Revisado: 05-30-24
Misleading categorization. It is definitely not a mystery, not even a cozy mystery.
It’s not about library or librarian either.
Young woman tries to charm an Alfa male. That’s all, no depth, no characters development to speak of.
Infantile narration makes it indigestible.

just OK

I have expected a bit more depth. One-dimensional characters don't rise above the formulaic structure. Nevertheless, it was entertaining enough to give it a go and finish.

boring cliche
Revisado: 02-19-23
Harlequin romance lightly dressed in multiculti theme. Predictable, cliche, and boring. That is shallow, I think the "Genre fiction" label is just another name for poorly written books. Please Audible be more specific when labeling genres.
