La historia de Winston Churchill puede llevar colecciones completas, es difícil resumir su vida y su legado histórico, creo que en este título se logra una buena compilación. Nunca deja de sorprender la fortaleza y temple de este gran hombre enfrentando prácticamente solo a la Alemania Nazi en su clímax de poder.
Resulta muy ilustrativo ver como va su desarrollo en la vida pública y su crecimiento político, sus grandes tropiezos y su resiliencia sin paralelo que lo llevan más de una vez a la máxima responsabilidad del imperio británico.
La resistencia del pueblo de Inglaterra en estos años tan complicados merece la mayor admiración, en fin Winston Churchill pareciera que estaba destinado para ser el gran líder que la humanidad necesitaba justo en ese momento y vaya que lo fue.

Magnífica reseña de la última parte de la República con sus luces y sombras.
El único detalle que no entiendo es la elección de un narrador que claramente no tiene el español como su lengua materna y por consecuencia se le dificulta algunas palabras y frases.

Que maravilla de reseña histórica del gran Imperio Romano, su fundación, sus primeros tiempos y sus grandes guerras en los tiempos anteriores a Jesús. La parte de las guerras púnicas es excepcional.
También merece una mención especial lo capítulos donde describe la forma de gobierno y los detalles militares de las legiones.
En fin, un deleite de obra.

Good reading if you are open and non judgmental.

If you are not a Bhudist like me, some parts of the book make no sense at all, but if you are open, non judgmental and respectful of different spirituals teachings some other parts are enlightened and helpful.
One of the narrators speaks English with a strong accent, almost difficult to understand, so it’s very distracting and I needed to go back and listen for a second or even third time.
Good read in general… at the end, death is the one thing all human berms are going to experience no matter our personal beliefs.

Me impresionó cómo hace prácticos los consejos que te da, los cuales nacen de su experiencia militar, sin embargo su adaptación a la paternidad y la relación con tus hijos es notable.
El resumen en forma de preguntas al final de cada capítulo es muy valioso y te deja una tarea clara.
Maravilloso libro, imperdible lectura para todos los que tenemos la dicha de ser padres.
