Historia
This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

One of the most beautifully crafted pieces of fiction I’ve ever experienced. Wonderfully performed with flawless prose. An unmistakable masterpiece.

Hunter takes calculated risks and they pay off
Revisado: 04-12-17
Oh my god! If I could give this book more stars I would. I've enjoyed the series so far but this book is exponentially better. Hunter takes some calculated risks and boy dies it pay off. Raven Cursed made me want to stand up and applaud. Early in the book there is a moment where little clues from previous books all slide into place. It made me realize Hunter had been playing a long game and it all had led up to here. The first three books in the series are good, solid stories. Book four is amazing.

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

A solid novel in need of a better editor
Revisado: 07-01-15
There are large sections of Doctor Sleep that I absolutely loved. There are also large sections (entire chapters) that probably should have been left on the editing room floor. It made the book hard to get through in spots but I'm glad I stuck it out. The ending is perfect. I'd heard there was one section that made readers cry and, sure enough, I hit that spot and got all weepy.
At times creepy and horrifying, at others poignant and emotional, this is a solid book for any King fan.

Fantastic Start to A Series
Revisado: 07-01-15
I'd heard great things about this series for years but wasn't sure I wanted to add yet another obsession. Too late. Half way through the first book I knew I wouldn't be satisfied until I'd read everything by Faith Hunter. Jane Yellowrock is a fascinating character, flawed and mysterious. Her world is large and filled with shiny things. It took me all of 5 seconds after finishing the first book to buy book two.
The narrator is also amazing, bring the story completely to life. I'd listen to anything she did.

Historia
Area 51, Hangar 18, the Montauk facility - these are just a few of the select, highly classified installations which governments prefer that we, the general public, remain steadfastly ignorant. These same governments have reasons for wanting to keep us in the dark. It is at these secret facilities that for decades, clandestine research has reportedly been undertaken into crashed UFOs, deceased alien entities, lethal viruses, biological warfare, mind-control experimentation, and much, much more.

Absolute Must Read
Revisado: 08-27-14
This was the first Nick Redfern book I've ever read. I heard about him from Mysterious Universe. The guys there are big fans of him and I can see why.
What sets this book apart from many "conspiracy" themed books is detailed research and extremely objective reporting. Too many writers in the genre are so far down the rabbit hole they lose their rationality. Redfern gives a balanced approach to every topic. I learned a great deal with this book. I'll definitely read more from him.

Historia
The Pyramids and the Pentagon is a detailed study of how and why government agencies have, for decades, taken a clandestine and profound interest in numerous archeological, historical, and religious puzzles. Focusing primarily upon the classified work of the U.S. Government, The Pyramids and the Pentagon invites you to take a wild ride into the fog-shrouded past.

Great book with horrible narration
Revisado: 08-27-14
Extremely interesting and well researched, They Pyramids and the Pentagon is a must have to anyone interested in the relationship between the government and fringe material.
The only thing that ruined it for me was the absolutely wooden narration. I think having kindle read it to me would have been better. It was easily the worst narration I've ever heard in an audiobook.

Historia
At a certain time in life, we all come to realize what is truly important to us and what just doesn’t matter. For Shirley MacLaine, that time is now. In this wise, witty, and fearless collection of small observations and big-picture questions, she shares with listeners all those things that she is over dealing with in life, in love, at home, and in the larger world… as well as the things she will never get over, no matter how long she lives.

Always Fascinating. Wonderfully Written
Revisado: 06-04-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Shirley MacLaine discussed UFOs with Jimmy Carter and had a fling with Pierrre Trudeau. How can you not be interested in her? As she states in this book, she's always been 30 years ahead of her time. Reading her earlier books instilled in me a passion for travel. To me she will always be a writer first and a performer second.
