The tower was built as an observatory for astronomer Anthony Wickham and his daughter Esther, and it served as the setting for their most incredible discoveries.

I love stories that travel 'thru time.

No-but I will definitely look for more as her performance was excellent

There were many, but maybe the death of Marcus.

What I listened to made me think A Dream of Love would be interesting, unfortunately the reader was so boring I didn't finish it.

An absorbing story

Having just finished listening the The White Queen which I enjoyed I decided to try The Red Queen. I admit Margaret was an unsympathetic character but in many ways she had just cause, she was a child when married at 12 then giving birth at 13 which must have been traumatic although it was common practice at that time and to so rarely see her only child. her religion seems to have been her only consolation. I found this book absorbing although the reader nearly put me to sleep.

This is the first in the Pengarron series and I enjoyed it immensly. An interesting story full of romance and adventure, set in beautiful Cormwall.
I look forward to listening to all in the series which fortunately for me, Audible has purchased.

I always enjoy books by Maureen Lee and this one is no exception, the characters are well drawn and always interesting from beginning to end. I would recommend this audio book to anyone who enjoys a good family story The reader, Maggie Ollerenshaw is excellent.
