Few people dare to commit the heresy of pointing Democracy’s flaws. This book not only does it, but also explains it with strong arguments. A must read for the person that doesn’t takes things for granted.

Esperaba un buen libro. Encontré uno aún mejor

El problema de tener grandes expectativas es que puedes acabar defraudado incluso aún cuando te encuentres ante un gran producto. Eso no te pasará con este libro. Lo que más me ha gustado es la imagen completamente real que da de Jobs, con sus luces y también con sus sombras. Es lo más parecido a haber sido testigo directo de su vida, sin filtros que lo conviertan e héroe o villano.

Better than I expected

When I got this book I was a bit sceptical about it. If memory does not betray me, it was one of the free titles from the Audible monthly give away, so I figured I would get it, start listening and leave it after the few first chapters if it was as bad as I expected.

Surprisingly, it was a very good book with very good advice. But not faith based advice, instead the autor explains and arguments why his advices are good, and his explanations really make the point.

I recommend this book to everybody who wishes to get the most of their money, which is practicaly everyone.

Awesome acting for a great story

By now you probably know what this book is about, so I won't explain it again. What I will say is that the story comes to life with the awesome acting of all the readers in it. You can even hear the machines working to produce the good that the company sells! It is like listening to an audio novel. The story gets truly enhanced, making for a very enjoyable experience.

Self indunging and boring

I started to listen to this book to learn more about the positive effects of Nature on our brain, so you could say I was sold from the beginning. However what I found is like a teenager diary of how fun the escape to the countryside was for them. Not only the book is boring, the main theory doesn't makes sense, because everybody taking part in the experience had the benefit of an uncommon experience, so the "effects perceived" could be the Nature of could be all the fun they were having.

Tan interesante como el primero

Probablemente sí compras este libro es porque ya te has leído “Sapiens”, así que ya sabes lo que vas a encontrar en este. Si te gusto el primero, te gustará el segundo. Y si no te has leído medio “Sapiens” deberías de empezar por ese.

A collection of random stories

This book is a collection of random stories that happen to share in common the fact that they are stories about famous games. Other than that I don’t see any other common thread that structures the book.

While I liked to learn a bit more about those stories, I didn’t like the fact that the stories like more like a succession of events, lacking a bit of story telling to make each story more fluid.

I would recommend this book to big fans of any of the games whose story appears here, but other than that I don’t see much interest.

Otro gran libro de Walter Isaacson

Lo malo del autor es que ha dejado el listón muy alto con sus anteriores trabajos. Sin embargo, una vez más está a la altura de las expectativas. La única parte que no me gustó mucho es cuando se tira párrafos y párrafos describiendo un cuadro, que sinceramente se hace un poco pesado. Todo lo demás es genial, y da una muy interesante perspectiva sobre Leonardo, muy realista, con sus luces y sus sombras.

Debería enseñarse en las escuelas

Este libro es a la vez entretenido y muy instructivo. Si lo piensas, todo lo que dice es del más puro sentido común, pero es de ese tipo de sentido común que permanece todo el tiempo oculto delante de tus propias narices hasta que alguien te lo hace ver.

Si eres de los que teme al momento de hacer las cuentas de tus finanzas personales, como muchos de los personajes de este libro, aprenderás a dominarlas en lugar de que ellas te dominen a ti, y experimentarás la misma transformación que ellos.

El mejor uso para este libro sería enseñarlo a adolescentes en las escuelas, pero es útil a cualquier edad.
