An exceptional adventure!
Revisado: 07-19-20
Larry's writing is superb. Adam's narration is spot on. The pop culture references are only outdone by the great "cameos".

Another win!
Revisado: 09-27-19
The irony of me listening to this was that I was driving through NV at the time I started it. It was also close to the timing of the failed "Storm Area 51" rally. A perfect travel companion for an otherwise mind-numbing drive. Alien/UFO conspiracies. Twists and turns that'd give a roller coaster enthusiast vertigo. All in all, another great listen!

A story that involves time travel is enough to hook me. But this one went above and beyond. The reluctant hero, that actually really wants to be a hero. Time travel. Corporate coverup. A little romance. And a freaking wonderful listen.

Historia
A woman disappears on her way to work. A man is convicted of her murder. But this case is different. Though the police believe they have the right man, key components of the prosecution case are missing. There is no body of the victim, no witnesses to the crime, no confession and no physical evidence: no DNA, CCTV or murder weapon.

I have 5h and 6 minutes left in this story. That's how far in I was able to listen before the incessant music in the background drove me to stop and remove it from my library.

Historia
Channel Two predicted a blanket of snow for Thanksgiving weekend - unusual, but not alarming for the little Maine island. What comes is a blinding blizzard, and a mass disappearance of nearly every person Robby Pierce knows. He and his family flee, trying to escape the snow and the invisible forces stealing people right from the street. Miles away, Brad Jenkins battles the same storm. Alone, he attempts to survive as snow envelops his house. When the storm breaks, Brad makes his way south to where the snow ends and the world lies empty.

Intellectual and riveting
Revisado: 08-06-19
The detail in this book is almost overwhelming. I thought I'd be lost in the beginning when so many different things were thrown at me but I was able, after paying close attention, to organize everything and the story eventually broke loose in epiphany. The characters are amazing and each one developed wonderfully. The story, as I said, took a minute for me to latch onto but once I did was an intellectual ride like few others.

My anticipation was not readily met.
Revisado: 08-06-19
While this story is good. It did not lock me in. I found myself drifting off as much as it did on tangents. I had to come back to it repeatedly and relisten to parts that, due to the dryness of the subject matter, I zoned out of. Still the story is good and the characters well constructed (sometimes too much so.)

Birth of an American 007
Revisado: 08-06-19
This book had everything for me. Shooting, action, adventure, a little making whopper and of course, Baseball.
Such a great adventure as we meet a man who after being broken down, builds back up to be more than he ever imagined. From someone who had his whole life thought and planned out to someone who has to fight to ensure he is alive tomorrow. The story was engaging, the details many (and accurate as far as tech info etc) and the whole adventure one that kept my earbuds glued in my ears!

How far would you go to survive.
Revisado: 06-12-19
J.R. has once again brought a harrowing tale of life, love, and survival against all odds. Following a plane crash, how far could you push yourself to survive. Lost, alone and injured. Could you reach deep down and find strength you didn't know that you had? This story was perfect from start to finish. No avenue unexplored, no parts left hanging. Truly a great story.

Historia
In the dawn of a new Ice Age, families everywhere are taking to the road to escape the frigid landscape-but you can’t outrun the cold. No one could have predicted the terrifying impact of human interference in the Arctic. Shifts in the Earth's crust have led to catastrophe and now the North Pole is located in the mid-Atlantic, making much of the eastern United States an unlivable polar hellscape.

A good story. A great premise.
Revisado: 05-18-19
I am a huge fan of the flood of post apocalyptic fiction we have today. This was no exception. I love the story and the dedication to family. The fact that, knowing these areas since I drive over the road, I could imagine the hardships and dangers they faced. The story was wonderful, if I can only say one thing that isn't a rave review, it's that the narration left a bit to be desired. Other than that, great job. Pick this up if you are looking for a great PA fiction thrill ride!

Getting up close and personal.
Revisado: 04-07-19
This series took me by surprise. I expected a slow start and a big finish. Well, there wasn't much time to relax! Following the journey of Marcus Battle, a decorated hero in numerous engagements, this story gets in deep and hits you right in the gut. Without spoiling, the writer and narrator do a great job of making you become emotionally involved with the characters. Their triumphs and defeats take you on a eoller coaster ride the whole way through.
