Historia
Beckett Langfield is grumpy, rich and hates kids. I’m an overworked, overstressed, and overweight single mom. The only reason we’re getting married is because he needs to fix a PR disaster and I am available. As in sitting next to him, in a bar, when he has this brilliant idea. Considering I just got divorced, I’m not looking to do that again. But Beckett makes me an offer that I literally can’t refuse, so I don’t.

Excited for the next book/set!
Revisado: 03-18-21
This collection of all 4 first books is long, but worth it. Initially it felt like a little too much young drama for me and it dragged out, but as the story went on I was hooked. It’s lighter reading, and not terribly dark. There are lots of lusty romance and snarky mean girls to keep you listening and make you want to know more. The characters are well developed, and I can appreciate the intertwining relationships as well as listening the characters grow individually through the book(s). This was the perfect set to listen to during my commute, and I found myself looking forward to actually driving to and from work. I’m so interested that I’ll be checking audible for the next book as soon as I’m done writing this review.

Keeps you listening!
Revisado: 01-29-21
This book initially starts off kind of slow, but that’s because you’re being setup for when the ball really starts rolling. I really enjoyed the narrator as well, it felt like one of my friends was talking to me and telling me all about a family they knew. She has a very natural easy voice. When this book starts proceeding it goes non-stop. I found myself trying to search for more time to listen. The ending is a little bit of a cliff hanger, I’m hoping maybe there will be another book available or in the future! All in all, a great listen and I really enjoyed it!

Historia
The one thing about growing up an orphan was that life sucked, but at least it was my kind of sucky. It was simple, ordinary, predictable. Until the night I woke up naked in a dark forest, surrounded by a trio of powerful shifters who plucked me from my miserable existence to tell me I'm some sort of supernatural monster.

Loved it, and can’t wait for more!
Revisado: 01-07-21
I loved every bit of this book compilation. I’m so happy I chose to get the books 1-4 together because I COULDN'T STOP! So many unexpected twists, and cliff hangers! I am now going to be not so patiently waiting for the next book in this series. In the mean time, I plan on listening to other books by Marisa Claire to hold me over. If you’re into suspenseful & supernatural books that aren’t too heavy to listen to, then I highly recommend.

Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Ok story - but I cant deal with the narrator!
Revisado: 01-09-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Alibi in High Heels to be better than the print version?
I've listened to a few of the high heels books now. I do enjoy the stories for light listening... but I absolutely CANNOT handle the voice of the narrator anymore. This will be the last one.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Her voice is very pitchy and high...
