Don't miss The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, soon to be a major motion picture, in theaters August 2013. Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the New York Times best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close. If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it? The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose. Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment. Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy.

Daniel Sharman.
Revisado: 08-01-19
I'm so glad that whoever is managing the production of Cassandra's books to audiobook format had finally copped on, and is using quality narrators. (James Marsters is also a phenomenal narrator of the dark artifices)
Daniel Sharman brings this to life and elevates it beyond YA, making the characters adult and human. I particularly credit his performance of Will - Welsh accents are no mean feat but it added so much to the character to have it be authentic.

Philip Pullman writing about what he knows best
Revisado: 11-21-17
Philip Pullman is an expert when it comes to writing about growing up ( instead about writing about a character who happens to grow up). He seems to inherently understand the sadness and beauty and wonder of adolescence, and the settling of our souls into their true form.
Beautifully written, with all the same poingance of His Dark Materials - this book has some truly dark moments that (thanks to Pullman's artful prose) would go over many younger readers heads.
I look forward to the following to novels in the series, I so want to know where Malcolm (and friends) end up and how they intertwine with the characters of His Dark Materials.

Incredible narrator
Revisado: 03-24-16
Rebecca Soler is an insanely talented narrator - she has subtle differences in each character and is uniquely capable of portraying humor in a way so many narrators lack. The story is very entertaining and a great YA read but she really brings it to life.
