Absolutely one of the better ones in the Hero Club franchise, where in my opinion the quality of the books varies a lot. A nice touch to tell Chance Jr.’s story. The narration was good, but a bit strange to listen to Kai Kennicott without Wen Ross lol.

For me it is not believable that the male character in this story could fall in love with a spineless and subdued person like this female "heroine". Although professional, I don't like Mluffy Newtown's voice, so when the male narrator isn't up to par and can float the story, the narration falls flat. Unfortunately not a good listen, and if you don't have Audible Escape and get the story for free, it's not worth a credit.

Once again a judgemental, annoying and self absorbed female main character that destroys the balance of the book. The very best thing about this listen is the always fantastic Jason Clarke. Maxine Mitchell is professional, but personally I don't like her voice (so it's appropriate that se narrates this annoying female character). If you don't have Audible Escape, it's not worth a credit.

Funny, hot and sensitive. So much quality built into a very short listen. No surprise though, taking into consideration the quality of the author's separate successes, why wouldn’t they be a winning team.
The most important though, is the outstanding narration! If the narration is not something special, I’m better of reading the book😉

Not even a great narrator like Teddy Hamilton could save this one, especially as his female co-narrator sounds uninspired and half asleep most of the time. The storyline is stupidly unrealistic, and this listen is another example on how the books in the Hero Club series are wildly diverse in quality. As a concept the series is an interesting experiment, but the quality check on the stories should have been better. It would have been better with fewer stories of a higher quality.

Another self centered, shallow and whiny female main character. These kind of women pop up far too often in romance books written by female authors. I do not understand why it is so difficult to create women that are a bit more self assured, without being self absorbed. Boring story, but great narration by Sebastian York makes it an overall 3-star.
If you're a member of Audible Escape as I am, you can try to listen to the story (I didn't finish), but not worth a credit.

So far I have experienced that the quality of the books in the Hero Club series are of a huge variety, many not so good. It's also confusing that the same characters seem to have reaationships with more than one person, as I had already heard Adele's story (also as Chance's sister from Australia) in Filthy Firefighter, but there her love interest was called Hayden Flynn.

This one I liked though! In my opinion Rebecca Jenshak is a solid writer of romances starring jocks, and I really love her Smart Jocks series. This was not as good as the books in that series, they are all a solid 5 - both as stories and narration are concerned, especially the male narrators. Rupert Channing is always good as an Australian, and even though I'm not a big fan of Muffy Newtown/Erin Mallon, she is very experienced and delivers quality (I don't like her voice, but that's a personal preference). As the book was included in my Audible Escape membership, it was absolutely worth the listen.

Great book, with stellar narration! Both male and female main characters showed vulnerability without being made week as human beings. I really enjoyed the listen.

As always, great narration from Jason Clarke. The story though is sadly dragged down by the unsympathetic, judgmental and self centered main female character.

Most of the series Hot Jocks was so very good, especially the first four books. Book 5 and then this last one, not so much. Even Teddy Hamilton's great narration could not save this read for me. Jordi was a very sympathetic character, but in my opinion Ms Ryan did not manage to make Harper, the female main character, likable. Furthermore, the book is very similar to Cindi Madsen's "Anatomy of a Player" from 2017; the bet, female who writes about hockey, just not as good. This should definitely be a book for free with membership in Audible Escape, and not one where it's necessary to spend a credit.
