Not very good....
- De Amazon Customer en 01-17-17
Great lecture indeed.
Revisado: 06-10-22
As an Indonesian-Chinese, discovering what my parents and grandparents think (mine was from Taiwan) when they're still children gives me quite a shock. Many lesson did survive - not explicitly thought, but learned through example. And I remember reading comic books about 5 chinese teaching as a child - finding out here that a person whose conduct I most admired as a child turned out to be someone who ignores advice and died as a result is quite the experience though.
As for the content, I can't really say - Personally I find the connection with the teaching of the Bible extremely interesting and enlightening. The lecture was interesting but there're a few (very, very sparse) awkward silence lasting seconds. Overall, it is very good.

Honest and Appealing
Revisado: 05-05-22
The analysis is certainly something the reflects our current world order, and the book was convincing enough to challenge my own perception. While there're points I cannot grasp and even struggle to agree with, the last portion of the book regarding life and investment advices is certainly wholesome.
And well, I didn't expect a great investor to have such a great voice as well! It was very pleasing to hear.

Historia
This audiobook details some of the most important writings in the life of Jonathan Edwards. His personal conversion story is intense as he describes the "sense of glory" that permeated his soul. Edwards also details his January 1723 dedication in which he offered all of himself without restriction or regard to his own life. The 70 resolutions of Jonathan Edwards were written over a year time period, and Edwards read them on a weekly basis.

Knowing Jonathan Edward
Revisado: 02-26-21
The compilation was a good listen.
The voice was clearly audible and polished with a bit of drama.
The story was a story of a Godly struggle.
Through reading this, I get the bigger picture that Jonathan Edwards Resolutions was not written in the vacuum of sin, but in the midst of his fight against it. Reading these two piece together gave me strength, especially in times of such pandemic where new faultlines of temptation have cropped up in our lives.

Quite possibly, one of the most important books ever written by the greatest American theologian. Some of the questions asked are "What is the nature of true religion? What are the signs of a true revival? How is the heart changed? Edwards used his pulpit and his leadership of the Great Awakening to pen one of the most challenging and inquisitive books written.

Consistent, Tempered, and Powerful
Revisado: 04-23-19
I bought this audiobook because my eyes easily get tired nowadays, and boy, how much it help a lot. The narration in very, very consistent. The intonation and the pitch never went too high, and it was pleasant without losing the power of the original text. Praise God for the narrator.
The book itself is good - and it will remain so for a long time. The book is an inquiry into affection, which in Jonathan Edward's own word "the more vigorous and sensible exercises of the inclination and will of the soul." The book describes affection so throughly, that I think it's still relevant two centuries later. This book is a must read for every Christians.
