Fun story very engaging for any age
Revisado: 11-27-19
This story was outstanding. I got it for my kids to listen to and decided to preview it first. I found it engaging and fun. The production is of the highest quality. I would have never sought out a title such as this. I am so very pleased that audible chose this as one of their originals. I highly recommend this story. I look forward other stories featuring Viva and her grand mother.

It's Elementary.. You must give this a listen
Revisado: 04-03-17
I have always loved Sherlock Homes stories. To this point I had never read any of the works. My only experience was BBC TV series and Movies with others takes on the beloved Sherlock Holmes characters. Stephan Fry does such an outstanding job of breathing life into Arthur Conan Doyle's work. I have only gotten half way through the stories and am looking forward to every word remaining. I have seen many works by Stephan Fry, but am so very pleased, and impressed with his telling of this story. If I had the honor of meeting Mr Fry today. I would thank him for his passion in sharing his love of the Sherlock Home stories. This is one of my top 10 favorite books in my audible library, and I currently have several hundred books in my library.

What a fun and engaging story. Wow!
Revisado: 04-03-17
This audio book was gift from my sister. I usually would not have even looked at a book like this. But wow what I would have missing. This story had twists and turns, and even a few surprises. I found myself wanting to stretch out listening so I would not finish it too quickly. I can get why it was on the NY Times bestseller list. The ending is predictable so I though and then there was a small twist that left me wanting to look for more stories from Mr. Richards..
I fun listen and well narrated literary work.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Outstanding literary work. This is a must listen
Revisado: 04-03-17
Neil Gaiman has created an outstanding work of art with his Norse Mythology work. It is obvious that he has researched extensively. He is a gifted story teller, and his narration brings to life the world of the Norse gods in an engaging manner. I am so glad I was able to hear the stories from the authors lips. His passion pulled me in and his artistry left me wanting more. I am pleased with this work and will listen to it time and again over the years. I highly recommend Norse Mythology to anyone who appreciates the art of the story.

Another Outstanding Chapter in the Saga
Revisado: 01-04-15
Where does Imperfect Sword rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have listened to a number of outstanding audio books. It is hard to rank Imperfect Sword in comparison. In the world of Jack Campbell, Lost Fleet and Lost Stars are outstanding. This book is on par with all is others in these series. And they are among my favorites.
What did you like best about this story?
It is truly a chapter in his serial of the Lost Stars. It reviles continued dept in all of the major players.
Have you listened to any of Marc Vietor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Marc is outstanding in this book. He helps the characters come to life allowing you to follow character changes easily.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really like the rally speech from the General. I will not say more as I do not want to give a spoiler here.
Any additional comments?
I can't wait for book 4 in the Lost Stars. Jack has me hooked on his Black Jack and Midway Universe.

Another home run for the Rhelm
Revisado: 01-04-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Annihilation - Tommy's Tale to be better than the print version?
I love audio books I do not often read print version.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I found Tommy to be an outstanding character. Like the first book where his father was the core that others developed around. He is the catalysts by which all other outstanding characters were pinned.
What about Liam Owen’s performance did you like?
Liam has yet another outstanding performance in book 4 of the series. For me he is the voice of their Universe. He is easy to listen to and has a dynamic that brings the characters to life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Tommy's best friend was married. It was well written and creates a pivotal foundation for many of the other characters to develop their bonds.
Any additional comments?
This book is a book of relationships, at a level the other books in the series did not reach.
I hope there will be a fifth book to the series.

Outstanding! Must listen if you like Space SiFi
Revisado: 01-04-15
What made the experience of listening to Annihilation the most enjoyable?
This book started out slow and I almost gave up. A few chapters in it kicked into high gear. The characters stated to come to life. I had to listen on as I wanted to hear more of their stories.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like TAG he is the key character at first and then others develop around him. His depth of character is drawn deeper by each character he interacts with.
Have you listened to any of Liam Owen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first Liam Owen's series now I look for other books he has narrated.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book drew me in I found myself listening when ever a had a spare moment and even when the moments were not so spare.
Any additional comments?
I like this series. I stated it as a filler between other books and now I look forward to each new book in the series.

Revisado: 08-08-14

I liked the way the story is woven togather. It builds on it's self and keeps open of the Frontier's universe. It allows for the story to keep expanding without getting old.
What did you like best about this story?
The Author does not hold back when the aliens start to show up then you are all in.
What about Christian Rummel’s performance did you like?
His is outstanding with his characters. He really has a gift to build each character with is voices. It is hard to listen to the Lost Stars books and not hear him doing the voices. He is just gifted and a pleasure to have perform the stories.

Revisado: 08-08-14
Where does The Lost Stars: Tarnished Knight rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is in the Middle of the Pack as a Fan of the Lost Fleet Series this is a must read
What did you like best about this story?
The story build on the Lost Fleet Series from the other perspective. I like having the differing point of views told. It makes the story fill the larger world in which it takes place.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I really like the narrator from the Lost Fleet Series. This one does not have the depth of voice variations, and with the complex back and forth that occurs in this book I often found it hard to track which character the dialog was for.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reactions to the book. It was part of the broader Jack Cable (Black Jack) Universe.
Any additional comments?
I hope the second book does not start out as slow as this one. Once it started to pickup and get things rolling it was good but laying all the ground work was much harder to follow. I wish the author had a cleaner flow in the first part of the book. Over all I love the story as a whole and this audio book will be listened to many times over the years.

Jules Verne an outstanding tale of adventure
Revisado: 07-12-14
What did you love best about Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea?
The book is a classic. I love the detail and descriptive nature of this book. It paints a new picture in each chapter. The characters come to life in the telling of the tale.
Did Peter Husmann do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The voicing of the characters was a bit flat for my liking. If this version of the books was done by someone with a bit more voice depth I would likely buy it. The reading was well done at times I missed the character transitions and had to backup to get the current context.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book due to it's descriptive nature was one that for me was better spread out over several days of listing. I kind of needed time to process the different scenes of travel thru out the book. I have seen many movie depictions of this book and they were all very different. When I listen to the book again I will likely not stop as much.
