Historia
Take a tour through the horror paperback novels of two iconic decades...if you dare. Hear shocking plot summaries that invoke devil worship, satanic children, and haunted real estate! Horror author and vintage paperback book collector Grady Hendrix offers killer commentary and witty insight on these trashy thrillers that tried so hard to be the next Exorcist or Rosemary's Baby. Complete with story summaries and artist and author profiles, this unforgettable volume dishes on familiar authors like V. C. Andrews and R. L. Stine, plus many more.

Historia
In addition to being among the most celebrated of contemporary filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino is possibly the most joyously infectious movie lover alive. For years he has touted in interviews his eventual turn to writing books about films. Now, with Cinema Speculation, the time has come, and the results are everything his passionate fans—and all movie lovers—could have hoped for. Organized around key American films from the 1970s, all of which he first saw as a young moviegoer at the time, this book is as intellectually rigorous and insightful as it is rollicking and entertaining.

The man really does love cinema
Revisado: 11-24-22
Took me awhile to finish this , I kept stopping and watching the movies he references in the book as I went along. Excellent. Great compelling in-site into movies from the 60’s-80’s. They definitely don’t make films like this anymore.

Historia
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 50 years, you're aware of the many hypotheses that the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was not done by one man. Whether you've listened to one or a dozen of the audiobooks on this topic, there's no way to fully grasp the depth of this conspiracy. For the first time ever, New York Times best-selling authors Jesse Ventura and Dick Russell have teamed up with some of the most respected and influential assassination researchers to put together the ultimate compendium that covers every angle - from the plot to the murder - of JFK.

Regardless if you think Lee H. was the lone gunman or not it’s definitely worth checking out . Only reason I gave it four stars in the performance and overall department was because of two things 1. it was a little redundant 2. voice actor read all the links out ….drove me insane and there were a lot ….www.//:https.YouTube ( by the fourth one I contemplated not finishing it ) but I didn’t , so listen to this book!

Historia
When Ball Four was published in 1970, it created a firestorm. Bouton was called a Judas, a Benedict Arnold and a “social leper” for having violated the “sanctity of the clubhouse.” Baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn tried to force Bouton to sign a statement saying the book wasn’t true. Ballplayers, most of whom hadn’t read it, denounced the book. It was even banned by a few libraries. Almost everyone else, however, loved Ball Four.

Exceptional simply exceptional. A Must for anyone.
Revisado: 10-27-20
I do not play , watch or even keep up with sports in any capacity. I learned of the book from the Crime and Sports podcast and I can’t stop praising Ball 4 enough. Jim B. was a man way ahead of his time just based on his thoughts alone. You do not need to know anything on the sport to jump right in. I think Jim understood that because he breaks a lot of it down making it easy for anyone to get sucked right in to the world of baseball .

But having found refuge in comedy, "Bald Bryan" recounts his alternately heartbreaking and hysterical experience of cancer treatment and recovery.

The tumor that tried to kill him and made me jelly
Revisado: 05-22-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Bald Bryan from the Adam Carolla Show takes center stage and shares his life with us after being diagnosed with cancer. I totally recommended this book to anyone that has being affected with cancer or knows someone that has. Heck I recommended this book to people that want to hear about one mans hurdle to overcome a dire situation with his family and friends in the side lines rooting him on through and through! Heck, I must admit halfway through I found myself jealous of Bryan and popping the top of my jelly jar! His wife Christie, family and friends did more for him then any low life schmuck in mine would do.
What other book might you compare Shrinkage to and why?
Not Taco bell material by Adam Carolla.
What about Bryan Bishop’s performance did you like?
Byran's charm is that he still sounds like a kid about to hit puberty, rough around the edges. He's not an actor which shows but that's what works for him.
