Historia
Alfred of Wessex has survived the Danish invasions, but though he now has an uneasy truce with his enemies, fresh Viking ships are arriving to plunder and enslave the Saxons. Those Vikings must be defeated, and Alfred's first move is to deny them their fortress on the Thames, the decayed Roman city of London. His weapon is Uhtred, a warrior of formidable reputation. But neither Alfred's wisdom, not Uhtred's prowess, might be enough to save Wessex when a Viking lord captures a prize of inestimable value.

worth a listen

Good story. The narrator does Utrid justice. Some character voices seem a bit feminine, but it's still well worth a listen.

if you want an insightful and exceedingly well documented look into how a Madman captured a nation and infinitely more powerful countries let the fear of the past hold them in indecisive in action until it was too late, then this is the book for you. the author uses firsthand knowledge and contemporary sources to document the insanity and horror that was Nazi germany.

This concise guide is filled with sidebars and memorizable steps to help Christians stand their ground and defend their faith with reason and precision. In his engaging style, Dr. Craig offers four arguments for God's existence, defends the historicity of Jesus' personal claims and resurrection, addresses the problem of suffering, and shows why religious relativism doesn't work. Along the way, he shares his story of following God's call in his own life.

very thorough
Revisado: 04-15-24
This is an excellent and fairly in depth philosophical explanation and defense of the Christian faith. Enlightening and definitely worth the time.
That said, for this who are fairly new to apologetics, I might recommend Tactics by Koukal or I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist by Turek.

Revisado: 07-26-22
Mr. Sowell has authored and extremely engaging and readable work. In it, he explores the history, myths, misconceptions and the politicization of race and culture; both in the US and abroad. His insightful analysis is at times, a window and at others, a mirror.
I highly recommend this book.
