Historia
Ahren can hardly believe his luck. His apprenticeship finally comes to an end, and Khara's interest in him is growing by the minute. He and his companions leave the Southern Jungles and sail westward, this time in search of two Paladins, who are apparently living a peaceful existence on one of the Isles of the Cutlass Sea. Yet their quest proves full of difficulties, for a war among the pirates has transformed the Cutlass Sea into a bubbling cauldron, hiding its own tragic drama.

All of them are great, so far
Revisado: 02-09-25
This book was just as good as all of them that came before it, but the editing got real bad the last 2.5 to 3 hours.
The narrator read words wrong & corrected himself & had to repeat words more clearly or in a different voice. That's to be expected, but I'd bet anything, he assumed those things would be removed from the final product.
It's like the editors fell asleep or got bored or maybe there was a deadline that couldn't be met so they said "screw it, this is good enough!" LOL.
It's maybe close to a dozen mistakes & they're very obvious, but it doesn't change the fact that this book, just like all the others, is fantastic!

Historia
The evening of April 12, 1979, was clear and warm. Unaware of the danger lurking on the periphery of the French Quarter, Drs. Ronald Banks and John Hakola made a tragic decision - to walk the few blocks from the historic district to the Hyatt Regency. Inches from the safety of their hotel entrance, they were accosted by two young men - a scuffle ensued, a shot fired, Dr. Banks lay dead on the sidewalk. Fighting Time tells the story of what happened next - hours, days, weeks, and years after those horrible seconds.

Heard About this Book from Proof Podcast, so Glad I Did!
Revisado: 10-19-24
This was fantastic. If I could do my life over, I would go to law school and be like Lori. All of the injustice people suffer every day as a result of an unfair "justice system" is so infuriating. The detectives, D.A., judge, jury, etc., no one cared about the truth. They just wanted to get it all over with & as long as black kids went away, that's all that mattered.

I Want More!
Revisado: 09-14-24
These books were so good! The narrator was too notch & I'm praying that the author will take on another 3 books! They were different and exciting and kept you on your toes. Unexpected things happened throughout all 3, so I finally stopped trying to predict outcomes of specific characters. Every time something happened that felt unfinished, he brought it back together, full circle so you weren't left wondering about any one or any thing. I'm sad that they're over! I'll be looking for more from this writer and from this narrator!

2nd Review to Clarify - LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
Revisado: 01-01-24
In my 1st review I said book two is not connected in any way to book 1, but I hadn't listened to book 2 yet. So far, detective Max Rupert is in book 2 along with his detective brother, Alexander. I'm not sure if they connect in any other way as of yet, but I'm happy to learn they're at least a little bit related. I love Joe, Jeremy, & Lila & wish they were in the following books in the series but book 2 is still really good so far!

WOW! A BOOK YOU WON'T WANT TO STOP!
Revisado: 11-27-23
I tried listening to this a couple of times but the audio and narrator didn't keep me engaged. I tried again a few days ago & I just finished book 1. This book was amazing! It's got twists and turns that you never see coming once I got through the first 5 minutes, I was absolutely hooked. I had to turn it off last night because I was listening instead of sleeping. I am starting book 2 now. I really hope it's as good as this one was. The narrator is fantastic & fits this character so well!

I Can't Get Enough!
Revisado: 08-06-23
I listened to the first book when it was the only one. I was so obsessed & depressed that I went everywhere they advised in the author's note & listened to other books from the authors.
After some time, I slowly but surely got over my bout of depression & sorrow & moved on with my life. 2 years later, my fiance says, "I'm listening to this book called Wayward Galaxy," (we share an Audible acct), "and I need more." It all came rushing back & I frantically opened Audible & searched for number 2. Imagine my surprise & excitement when I learn there are so many, I don't have enough credits to buy them all! I bought 3 or 4 of them then & there & I'll be buying the rest the moment my credits come in!
These books are so clever, exciting, stressful, hilarious, & a bunch of other words I use when listening to great books!
Brody is obviously my favorite! I listen to this everywhere I go, work included, and I laugh out loud every time Brody opens his robot mouth! I will even occasionally rewind to make other people listen to what he just said, even if they have no idea what or who they're listening to. Brody even got a laugh from my co-worker who overheard some of his crazy antics while i was listening at my desk!
Of course, I also love Reach, Alexa, Leanna, Dr. Roman, & everyone else in this A Team of ass kickers! They're all super bada$$ & wicked smart, which are my two favorite characteristics in fictional characters.
RC Bray is in mine & my fiancé's top 2 or 3 narrators & both authors are fantastic! How lucky we are that they decided to tag team a whole book series!
I love their author notes at the end, & this book not only includes an author's note but a round table discussion with a real life ass kicking Ranger & Bray's bloopers!
I'm off to start book 3!

Historia
The Ryan Waller interrogation has become well know on the internet for the unbelievable fact that Ryan is interrogated after having been shot in the head twice. There are are some details of the case that inaccurate, so I interviewed Ryan's father, Don Waller in order to do a follow up. In doing that, I realized that there was a lot more to this story than anybody really knew. We also discovered that this was not the first time that Detective Paul Dalton has gotten tunnel vision on the wrong person and lied in order to close a case. The United States Department of Justice is asking people to ...

So Grateful for the Update
Revisado: 01-06-23
Though your interview with the dad made me cringe a little a couple times, I was really grateful for the update. This case is the most unbelievable & despicable one I've come across. I can't think of anything worse than this & all the corrected information makes it that much worse. The fact that he continued being an investigator & Phoenix dismissed the lawsuit is infuriating. The fact that the detective stole evidence in the other case and didn't get arrested, but the innocent kid sat in jail for 2 years and was given a felony is the most unjust thing I've ever heard. It makes me sick and angry that this pathetic "man" lies & steals & does what he wants without consequence is horrifying and enraging. Ryan and his poor family suffered at the hands of this pathetic excuse for a police department & no one does anything to make it right?!

This One is so Painful!
Revisado: 01-04-23
I saw this on another YouTube channel, & I didn't know anything about his injuries before watching. I knew within the first 10 seconds that there was something seriously wrong with him. I wanted to comfort and protect him because it's painfully obvious that he's hurting & confused. A young man who killed his girlfriend would not be acting like this. This would not be a sneaky way to get away with murder. They kept him in the squad car for hours without medical treatment before dragging him to the station and making him think and use his brain to answer stupid effing questions. I cannot believe that they didn't get him checked out by a medical professional before locking him in a car for hours while they investigated the crime scene & that they dragged him through a police station & no one helped him. Totally disgusting.

Found this is MONSTERS Yesterday & Finished Se1
Revisado: 12-31-22
I found this on YouTube yesterday & I prefer podcasts so I can turn my phone screen off and walk around listening, so I was super excited to find out there's a podcast! I've already finished season 1 and am on season 2, episode 1. I will blow through this quickly like I always do & will have serious withdrawals. I'm already dreading it 😬
