Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Amazing
Revisado: 08-09-22
Project Hail Mary is an engaging, compelling story. Sprinkled with bits of humor, drama, and suspense, the story comes alive with the stunningly talented narration by Ray Porter. The narration was perfection to go along with an amazing, and very human, story. One of the best science fiction books I've ever listened to or read.

One of my favorite books with good audio
Revisado: 05-14-20
I loved this book when I first read it a few years ago. It's like the show Shameless but with the focus mostly on the romantic MM relationship between the two main characters. I really enjoyed revisiting the story through audio. Narration was great. Although the narrator didn't do much differentiating between character voices, he gave a solid performance. He has an easy to listen to voice. And I felt the lack of 'frills' in the narration for the grittiness of the story.

Great story, fantastic narration
Revisado: 01-22-20
This is my first narration by Michael Lesley. But it won't be my last. His voice for Drey was simultaneously sweet and seductive. And Tris's voice was very proper without coming across as snobby or stuffy. Which is his personality so the narration was very fitting.
I wasn't sure what to make of the story when I started, but it all came together beautifully. I have a weird relationship with sci-fi as I love the world building, but am usually wary of alien romances. I needn't have worried. Tris is a lovely character and he and Drey's relationship is very endearing. The use of the murder plotline to further inform both characters of each species' culture and mores is wonderfully done. And what a gut punch the resolution is. But so much more revealing than just whodunnit. So again, great story, fantastic narration.

Historia
Xander Penn has been around the block more times than he cares to count, always searching for an elusive something he’s never admitted to wanting, not even to himself, until now. Then again, realizing what he craves doesn’t mean he accepts it. It’s one thing to dabble at the open-door policy club he belongs to, but quite another to declare it to others in the real world. After a harsh rejection pushes away the one person Xander wishes he could pull closer, he spirals down a dark path using meaningless sex more as a punishment than a pleasure.

Sexy story, narration not my favorite
Revisado: 11-05-19
I struggled a bit with the narration here. I don't know if it was the narrator or the recording method, although the longer I listened the more I think it's the narrator's style. He has a good voice but I wasn't a fan of the delivery - very breathy and overly dramatic at times. And the recording style didn't do him any favors.
The story is good, sexy and hot with some angst thrown in. I haven't listened to the first book. I didn't feel it's necessary. This can be listened to as a standalone although I might have been more connected to the characters if I'd gotten a sense of their chemistry from the beginning.
If the narration style hadn't been mostly a miss for me I think I would've connected to the story better. I'd be interested in listening to something else from this author , and from the narrator if the style was different from this book.

Book two in the Thomas Elkin series. When some lines blur, others become crystal clear. Absolutely smitten, Thomas Elkin and Cooper Jones have decided they're prepared to give a relationship a try. What they're not prepared for is the reaction from their families, who try to force them apart. Both men are about to learn that there are lines that define us. Sometimes the lines blur, sometimes the lines become crystal clear.

Better than the first book
Revisado: 07-22-19
At first I didn't think there was really anything special about this installment. Narration was good, story was the usual, sexy times were good. But then Cooper got his chance to shine. I love he and Tom together, their banter, their ease at being with each other, how hot they always are for each other. But Cooper stepping up when Tom needed him, and then getting an epilogue from his point of view? Those two things took this from ordinary to extraordinary. And I understand wholly why people rave about this series.

Bartholomew's life is perfect. He's got a job he loves; he's in a committed relationship with his loving boyfriend who appreciates his neurotic tendencies, social anxiety, and general awkwardness. It's not "white picket fence and Golden Retriever" perfect, but their nice little apartment in the city and the cat they rescued from the shelter come pretty close.

Sweet and Hot!
Revisado: 06-27-19
This story was so sweet and yet very hot and sexy at the same time. It's a somewhat humorous, charming take on introducing a third into an established couple when one of them is quite vanilla and reluctant to explore anything kinky.
I thought the narrator was perfect. Lovely British accent and his narration for Mew was excellent. He really brought Mew's anxiety, insecurity, and desire to life. I'd definitely listen to other audiobooks narrated by him.

Historia
A year ago, Kelly Cannon couldn't imagine he'd end up with his formerly straight best friend. It's hard to believe he can finally kiss Blue anytime he wants...as long as they're in private. And there's the rub. Despite Kelly's promise to wait until Blue is ready to come out, he's tired of sneaking around. The cracks in their relationship are starting to show, and there might not be enough Spackle in the world to fix them.

Even Better Than the First
Revisado: 05-10-19
The Blueprint started my love affair with audio. Alexander Cendese and Sean Crisden really brought Kelly and Blue to life for me. They are even better in this book. The sarcasm, deadpan, exasperated deliveries ARE Blue and Kelly, in my mind.
The story is sweet, slightly angsty, and laugh out loud funny in parts. I love the way SE Harmon writes. The humor she injects into her stories is right up my alley. At times her characters might seem a little over the top, but there's always a balancing counterpoint, and I think their OTT nature makes them more relatable.
In summary, this is one of my favorite audios, the narration and story really knocking it out of the park for me!

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wisecracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were 18? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Perfection
Revisado: 01-18-19
This was one of the first full length MM romances I read so it holds a very special place in my heart. The story itself is perfection and I loved the narrators. Not much else to say other than it was fantastic revisiting Jamie and Wes in audio. I've got US, the sequel, queued up as well!

Kelly Cannon is satisfied with his life. He has friends, a wonderful family, and a great job. But his love life has reached a new level of pitiful. Why? Well, his heart decided to break all the rules. Don't fall in love with a straight guy. And definitely don't fall in love with your best friend. NFL standout Britton "Blue" Montgomery has pressure coming at him from all sides. When Kelly admits he's in love with Blue, bonds are tested, and Blue has to decide what's really important.

Hilarious and Heartfelt
Revisado: 01-16-19
I love SE Harmon. And The Blueprint did not disappoint. The relationship between best friends Kelly and Blue is awesome. They are so much fun and you can really tell they love each other even if it takes Blue some extra time to catch up.
The narration, with all the snark and sarcasm and humor of the men's personalities, is spot on. Using two different narrators really brought each character's individuality to the forefront and made the audio experience even better. I laughed out loud, I swooned, even cried a little.
I'm new to audio but I've already recommended The Blueprint audiobook to a couple friends. I feel lucky that this was one of the first to pop my audiobook cherry!
