Historia
Lexi Gardner is a rare creature with a nearly unlimited supply of magic. Unfortunately, that magic has gotten a little low. That’s all right. She’s come to Shadowvale for a refill and thanks to an impending magical event, getting all the magic she requires shouldn’t be a problem. Until she crosses paths with someone who greatly needs her help. A man trapped in the forest. A man no one wanted anything to do with. A man considered by most to be a curse. Lexi, however, sees beyond his past. She sees him for who he is now. And who he could become.

was Kristen drinking when writing this book?
Revisado: 02-22-24
normally I really enjoy the series it's one of my favorites. I've wanted to live in this world I've liked it so much. But this time I don't know something was just off for me. Eddie's constant insecurities..
nobody's really listening to anybody or they're repeating something right after it's been said.
I literally just rolled my eyes after Izzy was told that because she was an empath chances are she was related to the female lead because the female lead was a sylph... i.e distant cousins.... And I shit you not Izzy says oh my God we could possibly be cousins. really did you not hear the words that just came out of her mouth? I think the book was written and somebody didn't go back and do a proper edit.
But I still love you Kristen painter

terrible accident
Revisado: 12-05-23
The accent for Rosie is atrocious. The guys and everybody else seem to be okay. But nobody from Alabama sounds like that she really struggled with a southern accent.
I like the concept of the story, but everything moved at lightning speed and everything was accepted quickly. she's like okay I guess I'm a witch. which okay I would probably do too but that's beside the point lol. it just was kind of weird the way it ran but I'm still going to listen to the other books. fingers crossed it gets better.

lead character frustrating
Revisado: 11-08-23
I listen to books one through six. And I had hoped over time that there would be some improvement some books were better than the others. I noticed that Danni as well as primrose couldn't listen to save their lives. or always went off half cocked. also book six that reporter was so nosy and everybody's business and then she's left off for the rest of the book like they should have found a way to put her in her place or something.

honestly Nola irritated the crap out of me through most of this story. I mean that's really about it I felt like she was the worst character out of everybody. she annoyed me, she was naive and ignorant and the typical female character that I can't stand. maybe if I listen to the other books I'll like her more but in this book I did not

Historia
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all. Eamon Underwood isn’t what you’d call a social butterfly. In fact, he avoids people altogether, outside of his job at his uncle’s funeral home, where Eamon is the mortician. For him, being around the dead is easier than being around the living. Mostly because of his very curious gift that enables him to see just how long a person has left to live. That knowledge makes personal interaction far too difficult.

I know everyone else has had rave reviews but the introduction to these characters especially for tru and her aunts.... I'm not understanding how the aunts are so closed minded and unaware. And they just assume the neighbor is a vampire and decide that's what he is honestly really frustrated me. I'm going to finish the book .... I just don't like this whole naivete within the whole supernatural realm. true I get a little bit but her aunt's are just as ignorant and it makes no sense with the The community they live in.

A leading light on the alternative and indie music scene for nearly 40 years, Jeff Tweedy is a master of the art in the artifice of songwriting. In this volume, Tweedy introduces listeners to the people, occasions, and frames of mind that have inspired but don’t necessarily populate the iconic songbooks of bands Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, and Tweedy.

Historia
What a disaster! I only just made my flight to New York to help my uncle, and the phone I'm holding is not mine! It seems to belong to some commitment-phobic serial dater who's never made it past four dates (according to the constant notifications he's getting from his fake dating profile).... And worse? I have a sinking feeling it's that hot suit-monkey with the arctic grey eyes I just had a run-in with at the airport. Somehow, I have to persuade him not to get a new phone until I get back. My whole life is on that phone. I knew I should have backed it up. It's only a few days. Surely, we can handle it.

couldn't finish
Revisado: 04-12-23
I was literally enjoying this whole book up until when she woke up the morning after they had phone sex and she started jumping to conclusions. then I knew I was going to hate the rest of the book. Read the rest of the reviews and it confirmed it. I cannot stand when they make women irrational and unthinking. she just assumed and jumped to a conclusion and ran with it.

Jayne takes Sinclair on a much-needed visit to her winter wonderland home, the North Pole. She wants him to see what her royal life is truly like. She knows the protocol and regulations that define her existence as heir to the Winter Throne aren’t for everyone and worries it will be more than he wants to handle. All seems well until a weird coincidence in a toy contest has some of the citizens of the North Pole giving Sinclair the side-eye. He’s a necromancer, and not everyone is okay with that.

better
Revisado: 03-08-23
Voice changes from pitchy squeaky to kind of normal not understanding that change for the main character. I've noted this on most of my reviews. And then her mom says that they are sending her a snow globe for the office but she got that a few books back so I think this is just not good follow-through with the storyline. other than that I did enjoy this book better :-)
