Historia
Rock and roll in the BC (Before Cooper) era was a tamer, milder world. In Who I Really Am, Cooper’s latest addition to Audible’s Words + Music series, we learn how the boa-wearing (not the feathered kind) maestro arrived at a show and sound - let’s call it AC for After Cooper - that has entertained millions of kids while terrifying parents in equal measure. Cooper drew inspiration from Saturday matinee horror movies, applied a "no such thing as too much" attitude, and hitched it to a kick-ass rock and roll band.

For any task you might want to do, there's a right way, a wrong way, and a way so monumentally complex, excessive, and inadvisable that no one would ever try it. How To is a guide to the third kind of approach. It's full of highly impractical advice for everything from landing a plane to digging a hole.

fun times!!
Revisado: 08-29-21
this was so enjoyable to go through.
Full of fun facts in absurd situations.
Will Weaton does a great job performing the book in a way that is equally enjoyable to listen to.
the best part was that I was able to listen to it with my kids. there isn't anything that would be inappropriate for young ears.
enjoy!!

Historia
For Milo, everything’s a bore. When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, he drives through only because he’s got nothing better to do. But on the other side, things seem different. Milo visits the Island of Conclusions (you get there by jumping), learns about time from a ticking watchdog named Tock, and even embarks on a quest to rescue Rhyme and Reason. Somewhere along the way, Milo realizes something astonishing. Life is far from dull. In fact, it’s exciting beyond his wildest dreams.

Rainn Wilson is great!
Revisado: 08-14-20
I have never heard this story before, and it is quite a ride! both my children loved it. Rainn Wilson does such a great job of having each characters voice unique and easy to keep track of what is going on. highly recommend!

Well done Mr. Offerman!
Revisado: 05-18-20
what I find most enjoyable about Nick's writing and delivery, is that it isn't a heavy handed opinion of my way or the highway, but a means of causing thought in the listener/ reader, of what they may not of considered. there are a few points that Nick makes that I don't agree with, but isn't that the goal? Challenging our biases and ideas for what is actually the right thing? being ok with simply saying "I don't know?"
I will say that there is quite a bit of language so be aware for young ears around.
In the end, this book caused me to really do further digging on historical and contemporary persons that did have what the book suggests, Gumption.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

The best story you have never heard
Revisado: 10-11-19
Where to start. This is hands down the best WW2 story I've heard and the Narration is top notch! I'm not sure why this hasn't been made into a mini series or film yet. Between the Author's writing and the Narrator's delivery, you are transported along side these pilots through thinks and thin. most importantly, it shows the value of human life in the most grizzly of times. I appreciated learning more about the German airforce, knowing that they had little, or nothing to do with the Nazi party and flew according to a higher code of honor. I know I hope to live by a higher code as well.
