Historia
Last Train from Hiroshima offers listeners a stunning "you are there" time capsule, gracefully wrapped in elegant prose. Charles Pellegrino's scientific authority and close relationship with the A-bomb's survivors make his account the most gripping and authoritative ever written. At the narrative's core are eyewitness accounts of those who experienced the atomic explosions firsthand---the Japanese civilians on the ground and the American fliers in the air.

Fantastic!!!
Revisado: 02-25-10
As expected, this book is an extraordinary collection of the trials and tribulations of those who survived the truly awful events of both the Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombs. The wonderful surprising part is that this is also a tale of the indominable human spirit and the beauty people can have in the face and aftermath of tragic and traumatic events. I can not empahsize enough how much I recommend this book. This book should be a requirement for every human being.

Historia
The Buddha said many times that just as the great oceans have but one taste, so do all the true teachings of the dharma: the taste of freedom. Jack Kornfield's The Roots of Buddhist Psychology is an invitation to drink deeply of these teachings; to taste the wisdom that flows from the heart of Buddhism's most useful ideas on the interior life and what brings awakening, freedom, and happiness. Jack Kornfield opens this eternal view of the mind for all listeners in this collection.

Fantastic read
Revisado: 02-01-10
I will admit I have found Jack Kornfield a little less than interesting in the past but this audiobook (which is really a multi-day seminar) was truly interesting and helps me find peace on stressfull days. Each segment is short enough to make a really great point and then you can stop and ponder the segment before going to the next segment. Great delivery and information. Well worth the full price.

Bruce Bueno de Mesquita is a master of game theory, which is a fancy label for a simple idea: People compete, and they always do what they think is in their own best interest. Bueno de Mesquita uses game theory and its insights into human behavior to predict and even engineer political, financial, and personal events. His forecasts, which have been employed by everyone from the CIA to major business firms, have an amazing 90 percent accuracy rate.

Disappointed
Revisado: 02-01-10
I thought this would be an interesting read along the lines of Malcolm Gladwell. Unfortunately, this is really a book more interested on promoting the author and how "brilliant" he is rather than telling an interesting story.
