Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

ok I was finally really getting into the story... OK was into it all BUT... it kept getting more and more and more good.... then it ended WITHOUT the conclusion I was hoping for... MAYBE the ultimate cliffhanger cause all I could do was react with "You ended it there?.." come'on Shelly...

I'm speechless and even have an unexpected salty liquid leaking from my eye
Revisado: 08-31-24
I've been wanting be an author ever since I was a kid. circumstances never permitted it or maybe I never permitted it. I've had dozens of ideas over the years. I even had a half scholarship to university of Tennessee and like when I also had a 75% scholarship to Baltimore school for the arts my overbearing mother wouldn't have me going under ANY circumstance. She not I was the writer in the family.... EVEN THOUGH my grandad who we called pop pop was ready to provide the difference financially.
I guess from one perspective I can understand. My parents both teachers divorced when I was young. My mom "always did everything"... "for our protection". I had, have, a sister. she went away to university then to grad school for her PhD in what to me is still little more then a PhD in BS. she was always the type that let what she was tought, told and indoctrinated with be her one true authority and teacher. to her the news and the corduroy arm patch professors were always the word of "god".
Me? I was the black sheep. I listened to Roger Waters... mother should I trust the government and hey teacher leave them kids alone. but it was deeper for me. my parents were teachers so that alone was a 2 front assault...
NOW imagine if you came to learn your father was molesting his students? Imagine that your mother was covering it up? imagine that your parents divorce, you get to be part of the mom and kids private I spy team to help gather evidence against your father that was never intended for court but to blackmail....
then imagine your trusted babysitter was your father's FAVORITE student... then imagine your father getting married to your babysitter at 16 cause she had legal permission FROM HER PARENTS! Who were so damn gullible to believe it when my babysitter (Sandy) claimed true love and to hear her parents talk about your father as if "Tommy is the greatest most incredible l, kindest and most gentile and respected" human to ever walk the earth.
Imagine knowing better cause you have the mental, emotional and physical wounds, bruises and scars to prove it is just not true.
My father who left one day in a whirlwind loading all he could into Glad bags. Glad to see you go or rather just be glad to have a freaking Dad! ...
Imagine the last thing your father says to you before he packs his sock drawer and the plastic bag of who knows how many $100 bills and grabs his collection of quarters with some drummer boy on the back and a book full of silver and gold coins and tells you that "son, you are now the man of the house now and I expect you to take care of your mother' and sister, do better job then I did. its timr to stop being a kid with yiur toys. put away all that be a man for them...." then ugh "and carry this bag for me it wont carry itself" ....and doesn't even leave me a single bill, ounce or even a drummer boy quarter.
Then BAM.... Back in the present moment looking back on my life and wondering... why did I never write, why have I not attempted to be an author or hell anything that I could be proud of. well aside from achieving some good things that all get left in the past. Abandoned... like my self worth.
I want a legacy...! Yes the afterword had power.. question is will I act on what that afterword stirred up inside me?
oh and yes the books, characters all of it. My life is all better from them. Don't miss out!

I had trouble following ans staying sucked in with the earlier books but as the story progresses and evolves I find I can't wait to hear more. I never thought I'd be "here" when I was reading/listening to street rats and the white tower BUT I am now at a place where I can honestly rank this series ans the author in my top 10. That is not an easy place to get to with me. The top 10 for me is quite eclectic and has most to do with gabbing and holding my attention. This series while I find Several main characters a bit daft at times (3 siblings) has done so.

It’s amazing what the lack of immediate threat to one’s life and wellbeing can do for a person’s disposition. High risk, high reward endeavors suddenly seem far less appealing, month-long delays are no longer a cause for concern, and sleeping in every single day of the week becomes an extremely attractive proposition. Indeed, without a pressing need to aggressively expand its power, Boxxy T. Morningwood is finally able to simply sit back, enjoy life, and watch the world both turn and burn.

love them all... great imagination... deviant and devulgent and fun... can't wait for more! will take a bit to adjust to a new story beyond ELLCs and will miss the mischievous box BUT... as well as these books did (and the incredible talent that narrated/dramatized the books) I suspect there is another great series on the ever shifting horizon!

Have you ever woken up, rolled over, and thought to yourself, “I’m pretty sure I’m working for a Super Villain.” If you haven’t, then maybe you’re not the type of person to work for a global corporation. Edmund, however, is just such an individual. He works for Legion: a corporation of unimaginable reach that he barely understands, a corporation that seems determined to put itself smack dab in the middle of a brewing civil war between Super Heroes and Super Villains.

Revisado: 03-08-24
this narrator might be good for other books with other characters but not for the world's of Arand and/or Darren... lost connection and personalities cause of differences and simply just don't ike her voice. seems kinda elitist and 1 dimensional. sorry. Too much cussing too or maybe just more noticeable cause narrator voice isn't good for cussing. puts too much emphasis on those parts maybe.

Historia
The six Herdman children are “absolutely the worst kids in the history of the world”. They lie and steal and smoke cigars. They even burned down Fred Shoemaker’s old toolhouse. Now they’re taking over the Christmas pageant. The Herdmans have never heard the Christmas story before, and they don’t know anything about shepherds or Wise Men. When Imogene hears about the swaddling clothes, she demands to know why anyone would tie up a baby and put him in a feedbox.

One of my favorite Christmas stories! My 3rd grader has listened to it several times now and loves it. The only dicey part is when they say the word “sex” once, but my daughter didn’t seem to notice.

Historia
Whether they were a snake-haired gorgon, a colorful slime woman, or a 15 feet tall Oni, they were free to live peacefully in Pluma Territory. For many of the creatures, living peacefully was something they never dared even dream of, so it was only natural that they traveled from all over the continent to reach his territory. If only the humans would let them. Sometimes it was guards in a neighboring territory killing them for sport, sometimes it was a village stealing all of their supplies, and sometimes it was slavers attempting to profit.

would give this a 5 but there was too much woke BS that detaracted from the story, was completely unnecessary and seeming forced in as some final hour editing additions. some work or can be explained away cause of an avatar environment in a future setting but most just stick out like a dumbass sore thumb
