Great Book on Business & Personnel Management

Well researched book. Great recreations of history, not so much about the cars in the latter years it's more about the men and women (mostly men) who make the decisions to make cars. Sometimes the drama sounds like a soap opera, but if you work in corporate America or for a large organization, you'll recognize some of these themes as being universal. Throw in the Ford family, the Union, and the media as outside influences and you have a great story.

Higher, farther, faster - what every real aviator aspires to. The SR-71 was the epitome of this dream for three decades. The only way to beat the SR-71 was to rocket into space, and every astronaut in the office with me in the 1960s would have loved to have flown the Blackbird. In many ways it placed greater demand on piloting proficiency than any spacecraft.

Great story. Good anecdotes with real depth. A bit repetitive at times, but this is more a function of similar questions being asked and answered. Well worth the time investment esp. Pappas allows the casual observer to step into an active duty squadron, and strap into Habu, for a wild ride into aviation history.

Great book, well researched and dialogue takes you inside the cockpit for multiple frenetic flights over the Vietnamese countryside. Hampton is effective in relaying an intricate story.
