Good but redundant
Revisado: 01-21-21
Overall this is a great book. The only negative I have would be that the material is redundant towards the end of the book.

Good but repetitive
Revisado: 01-04-21
I really enjoyed this audiobook. My only critique is that it is repetitive. I would give it 5 stars if they removed the redundant stories and singing.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Good, but could have been Great
Revisado: 12-23-20
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I thought the narrator did a good job and was easy to listen to. I am undecided on the podcast interruptions throughout the reading. Some of the podcasts added to the story, while others took away. Sometimes I felt as if the podcasts were added for nothing more than to give David an ego stroke. “Holy Sh!t Man! Wow!!!! You are such a badass!!!!”

I thoroughly enjoyed this book
Revisado: 12-19-20
1. I really enjoyed the Narrator’s voice. He made the listening experience enjoyable and added enough character to his voice to keep the listener interested.
2. At first I was a little bit hesitant to purchase this book. 12 hours on the arm seemed excessive. However by the end of the story I wanted more. The book doesn’t drag because the author constantly changes the setting (surgery, Little League, minor league, MLB, Japan, travel ball, pitching gurus, conditioning, rehab, history, biomechanics...).
3. I cared about the characters in the book and I wanted all of them to succeed
4. This book reminded me of a case study in business school. The problem is well defined, however the correct solution is up for interpretation. There isn’t a right or wrong answer necessarily. But there is enough material to start a conversation that has the ability to change how baseball players are managed in the future.

Fanatical Prospecting gives salespeople, sales leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives a practical, eye-opening guide that clearly explains the why and how behind the most important activity in sales and business development: prospecting. The brutal fact is that the number one reason for failure in sales is an empty pipe, and the root cause of an empty pipeline is the failure to consistently prospect.

Good but redundant
Revisado: 07-09-19
A lot of good information, but the material gets redundant after a few hours. The biggest takeaway, in my own words, is to quit being scared of rejection and/or embarrassment and pick up the phone. 90% of people are going to say “No”. Once you realize that and become comfortable with rejection, prospecting becomes effortless and somewhat enjoyable.
