I Recommend This Compelling Journey!
Revisado: 03-14-25
If you are a fan of Star Trek or any Sci-Fi you will love this book. It is a cozy tale of the Federation ship the Gibraltar and an unexpected guest. The narration for this story was masterfully done. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Revisado: 01-28-25
Kelly Bishop tells her story in a compelling way taking us through all her adventures the lows and the highs. The lessons she learned and we can learn from her are heartfelt. She embraces the we rise by lifting others mantra and giving every opportunity we have the best effort we have. Truly impressed and have enjoyed this story.

Historia
Over the last fifty years, women have made extraordinary advances in athletics. More women than ever are playing sports and staying active longer. Whether they’re elite athletes looking for an edge or enthusiastic amateurs, women deserve a culture of sports that helps them thrive: training programs and equipment designed to work with their bodies, as well as guidelines for nutrition and injury prevention that are based in science and tailored to their lived experience. Yet too often the guidance women receive is based on research that fails to consider their experiences or their bodies.

Must Read
Revisado: 01-26-24
Every coach, trainer, and female athlete needs the information presented in this book in their toolkit. If you read invisible women this is a great and specific look about similar, in some cases the same, challenges through a specialized area. Definitely needed literature for those in this field.

Year of Yes!
Revisado: 12-06-17
I picked up year of yes because I love Shonda, who doesn't? I didn't necessarily think that the message was going to be applicable to me just by what I have heard about the book.
Saying yes was not a problem for me. In fact I was at the point where I was tired of saying yes and had been defaulting to a whole lot of No answers lately.
After listening to Shonda tell this amazing story, which I love when the writer reads their work, I feel as though the message did resonate and I still love Shonda!
You say yes and just as in one story Shonda tells, Yes wasn't the right answer, it was a different kind of yes, a yes to herself that makes all the difference. The risk is always there but so is the opportunity and the opportunity is worth it. I forgot that there was a middle ground between no and yes that is a different kind of yes and a different kind of no.
Overall, I can't say enough how much I love this book!
