Historia
Ehd's a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He's strong and intelligent but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful, young woman in his pit trap, it's obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. Elizabeth doesn't know where she is or exactly how she got there. She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant - and often hilarious - struggle.

Absolute dynamite
Revisado: 11-23-20
Wow. By far the best time travel romance I have ever read (listened to). Elisabeth travels through time 160,000 yrs back to the cave men. Adh does not speak (but is intelligent) as humans did not use language back then. He lives alone after he lost his tribe and the book is written in the 1st person from his point of view. Which makes this book so amazing and sets it apart from other time travel books. This just adds to the beauty of this book and the writers ability to show feelings, thoughts, through actions perception, intuition with out spoken language other then a few words on Adh's behalf as he also does not comprehend Beth's speech.
If you don't like steamy sex in a romance book, there is plenty here just to worn you. But I guess if language is a beerier for communication the sense of touch is used far more for communication and bonding. It is a touching love story full of sacrifice, love and devotion.
As for the narrator. He was good. I did not give it 5 stares only because his voice was way too monotone.

It was ok
Revisado: 09-13-20
The story was ok. Truth me told I don't think I am a fan of Keira's books. They are just too childish for me. The female characters are just to naive. Perhaps I am just to old for such romance. I listened to the first 6 books in the series cos A. Ferguson was the narrator. He is my favorite , I know many people think Ferguson is horrible at doing female voices. I don't agree. I can not listen to Paul. I tried in other books. He over dramatized the the whole book in his narration and he really can do to female voices. I could not finish the book.

Historia
Celebrated actress Scarlett Thomas never wanted fame - that was her parents' dream. Now she's ready to make big changes, but she never could have imagined how big those changes would turn out to be. Returning to the medieval Dunskirk Castle, where she filmed the Puppet War trilogy, she encounters an old Scotsman named Donell who directs her to an ancient claymore that sends her back in time to 16th-century Scotland.

It was ok
Revisado: 09-08-20
What I found annoying is Fortin's books so far is, the women from the future use all the language from their time as if the people in the past would understand them. It makes them look stupid and naive. What happened at end of the book with Donald and needing help from a time traveler? As for a A. Ferguson, he is my favorite narrator by far, personally I think there is nothing wrong with his female voices. Another thing i love about his narration is that he does not dramatize the non dialog pars of the book. His voice is soothing and relaxing. this is just my preference. I find many male narrates can not do female voices and female narrators can not do male voices even more so. Potter is very good narrator she does a very good deep masculine voice that not many can pull off.

Revisado: 08-25-20
Very much worth buying this book. We get an excellent insight into Cons thought, feelings, troubles and motivations. It is worth listening to before Inferno comes out to get a beck round of con's character. I was very impressed with the narrators. I still love A, Ferguson the most.

I am hooked on the dark king books. They just get better and better, The way it is written it makes u wanting for the next book. As far as Ferguson goes, for me he is the best narrator of all the ones I have listen to. My reasons, he has a calm smooth voice that is relaxing to listen to. Professionally really don't like high pich dramatic narrators, to the point that i can not finish the book. Many say he can not do women's voices I find other male narrators are not any better and female narrators can not do a male's voice it is too high pich.

Love this book.
Revisado: 06-21-20
I have never been a fan of fantasy style books, I decided to give it a try cos of Antony Ferguson being the narrator. Now I am hooked (the best book so far, the more forbidden the love the better) Ferguson is by far my favorite. I find his voice calming, relaxing. .He is not overly dramatic in his narration which I love. Yes there is repetition in the books but I think it is done so the listen/ reader can get the background if they have not read the previous books in the series. The book is predictable with the love story as most romance novels are. What i like about Grand's books is that we learn the history nature and motives of characters as the story develops and continues. . Each book leaves rooms for the next one. If u want a book with a ton of mystery and cliff hangers it may not be for u. It had enough for me of both to keep my interest. Personally I loved the book, It ticked all the boxes.
